Investigating the Montauk Monster: The Story Deepens!

July 30, 2008

In fact, this turned out to be true. A number of eyewitnesses say they saw the monster with their own eyes. “I saw the monster,” says Michael Meehan, a 22-year-old waiter at the Surfside Inn, which sits above the beach where the monster washed up. “I just came walking down the beach and everyone was looking at it. No one knew what it was. It kind of looked like a dog, but it had this crazy-looking beak. I mean, I would freak out if something like that popped up next to me in the water.”

So did anyone there, you know, do anything about it?

“This woman kept calling animal control,” said Meehan. “She wanted to name it after herself. I think they came and got it. The carcass. Whatever it was.”

But did they? The East Hampton branch of animal control referred Daily Intel to a supervisor who did not return calls for comment. And Navitski, of Evolutionary Media Group, says her friend’s sister (who doesn’t want to talk to the press, though Plum TV will host another woman, Jenna Hewitt, who claims she took a photo, tomorrow) says animal control never came. “They say an old guy came and carted it away,” she said. “He said, ‘I’m going to mount it on my wall.’”

Thanks, fren. I wasn't asking about the 911 docs as I saw that article several times here yesterday. I was asking about the correlation being made between that announcement and this leap:

"it's probably safe to conclude that there will be no arrests of anyone significant under this Administration."

If it's any comfort, a lot of ppl who filed taxes in 2018 and 2019 by mail are waiting for checks by mail and haven't gotten them yet. Only direct deposit $$ are showing up so far. Tres. Sec. said that it would be early May before physical checks would show up. Some tried to say that POTUS' "signature" or name on the checks held this up. He says that is not true. Nevertheless, we don't have checks yet… hang tight. We did get the first UE checks on Saturday here and they came with the extra $600, which made it worth waiting for this help! Glad your daughter is learning to work early in life.

Right, I know. And state and local taxes are at least .75 cents. Still… crazy. All those years of thinking that there was an oil shortage, that we'd run out, that gas would be unavoidable, was just another cabal lie!!

You aren't alone, fren. We also were in dire straits until the UE checks finally came through. Do you have enough food? Any friends or relatives who can help? Can you drive locally and pick up some delivery money? Check your local vets and ask as people are paying to have their pet meds delivered. Stay as positive as possible. I know this all sucks.

ooooooooooo I'm seeing 2.50 a barrel right now. Honestly didn't think it could go this low. I guess China will benefit?

I don't see a notable on crude oil at 1.27. Just in case:

Oil plunges 84% to nearly 4-decade low as sinking demand spurs uncertainty around storage

Oil prices plunged to a more than three-decade low on Monday as uncertainty mounted around storage of excess supply.

WTI crude oil futures expiring in May plunged as much as 71% to $5.32 a barrel, while Brent slid 7.4% to $26 a barrel at intrasession lows.

The coronavirus pandemic has torpedoed demand for the commodity, with fuel use in cars and planes slumping.

The commodity fallen over the past week even after OPEC and its allies agreed to a historic production cut intended to backstop prices.

The WTI market has entered contango, meaning spot prices are now lower than prices for future delivery of crude oil, a highly unusual occurrence.

Oil plunged to a more than three-decade low on Monday. The commodity's latest round of sharp selling comes as uncertainty mounts around storage for excess oil. Demand for crude has plummeted since the coronavirus outbreak has frozen activity worldwide.

The price of West Texas Intermediate crude oil futures expiring in May plunged as much as 84% to $2.99 a barrel, putting itpace for the lowest close on record, dating back to 1983. Brent crude losses were muted by comparison, with the commodity sliding 7.4% to $26 a barrel at intrasession lows.

The price of oil has continued to slide even after OPEC and its allies agreed to the biggest-ever production cut — one intended to backstop prices. Investors remain unconvinced the cuts can offset cratering demand for the commodity as the novel coronavirus keeps society from operating normally.

For the U.S., this is not a good thing. China will gobble up oil at this low price and sell it for 1,000 times the price to countries who don't produce oil. Their economy will recover quite nicely. We don't want to see prices this low for many reasons. Lots of jobs here will be negatively impacted. Hopefully, white hat people will intervene to make sure we are protected. We should be stockpiling our strategic reserves as well (as POTUS quickly recommended.) He is RIGHT once again!

It's going to be weeks or months before we see low prices at the pump. Delivery trucks are backed up as far as you can see. The price those trucks paid for oil was higher so they will need to sell it to gas stations for a profit. The gas stations have to then sell it to us for a profit. So until distributors are buying it at a lower price, we won't see the benefit. Make sense? Did I miss anything Anons?
