There's one being done right now at U. of Washington (that Gates gave money to) using Vitamin C as a placebo.

Overall Design:

This is a randomized, multi-center, placebo-equivalent (ascorbic acid) controlled, blinded study of HCQ PEP for the prevention of SARS-CoV-2 infection in adults exposed to the virus. This study will enroll up to 2,000 men and women who meet the eligibility criteria from multiple sites in the United States.

Volunteers who participate in the study will be asked to take a medication (either HCQ or vitamin C), complete an online survey to assess their symptoms, and collect a sample by swabbing the inside of their nose every day for 14 days. On Day 28 a final swab will be collected and a survey completed. Volunteers will be in the study for approximately 28 days.

Study Results:

This study will increase understanding of the efficacy of Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) to prevent incident SARS-CoV-2 infection. The study aims to release results in late 2020.

What’s more concerning is that the affidavit released by the federal prosecutors states that Leiber signed an agreement between Harvard and Wuhan Insitute of Technology. According to the affidavit, the purpose of the agreement was to “carry out advanced research and development of nanowire-based lithium-ion batteries with high performance for electric vehicles.”

One nanoscientist and former student of Lieber’s says: “I have never seen Charlie working on batteries or nanowire batteries.” In fact, in all his research papers and patents, there is no mention of “batteries” or “vehicles”.

Research is "creative and systematic work undertaken to increase the stock of knowledge, including knowledge of humans, culture and society, and the use of this stock of knowledge to devise new applications."[1]

It involves the collection, organization, and analysis of information to increase our understanding of a topic or issue.

At a general level, research has three steps:

  1. Pose a question.

  2. Collect data to answer the question.

  3. Present an answer to the question.

This should be a familiar process.
