At 2:10 eastern overflight by a 2-ship formation of fixed wing fighter a/c. Not sure whether F-15, -18…hell, coulda been A-10's, my eyes suck. Loose line abreast, alt. 1k, speed @200kts. Almost like they were trolling.
Eastbound, position approx. 5 mi SE of RDU. Heading away so def NOT in the pattern and too low for marshal. Fyi
Wow, busy day around the Triangle. No eyes on but just heard a low mil helo about 3 mi south of my contact report. Headed SE. Know it's mil by the sound - not any of the airflights or local Jet Rangers and not a Robinson, either.
Sounded like a -60 or -64 (Guard has some at RDU). NOT a Huey or Shithook. Bro flies those irl.
Looks like they just sent out a bulldozer. Sand they had in plenty, the skate park is at the beach
