The Spirit of the Elbe. I like it. It's when and where the mostly American soldiers met, for the first time, with soldiers of the Russian Red Army. They hugged each other with joy. Then a week later Berlin fell and we had Victory in Europe.
What we Americans weren't taught was that the Red Army, who was the only army fighting the Nazis in Europe for over 3 years until D-Day, did not quit. The Red Army moved to the Far East and fought the Japanese army until Victory over Japan.
Don't believe you will find greater allies among warriors better than the USA & Russia. It's in our Blood. The Spirit of the Elbe.
