I live in one of these DOE towns. Have seen a lot of weird shit in the past 30 months that I've never seen happen before Q. Haven't posted about it here because I didn't want to interfere with the boss' ops, but I figure it's been long enough now that it's safe to discuss. And we could all use some morale-boosting "it's happening" proofs in the midst of this fake & gay Fallout LARP the DS has temporarily pushed us into. So here goes.

Summer before last, two special ops Chinooks came right over me descending into one of the DOE facilities. Seeing any Chinook around here is weird enough, let alone two with aerial refueling booms hauling ass toward a National Laboratory in landing configuration.

Some time after that, in a neighboring city, had an Osprey flyover coming from the direction of the facility. Have never seen an Osprey outside of the Redneck Riviera where they're based.

Last year, on two separate occasions, noticed unmarked blue motor-coach type buses with Chair Force plates seemingly headed for DOE facilities.

Several months ago, stopped at a grocery outside of town for beer on the way home. Noticed one of those OST C&C vehicles parked in the lot opposite me. When I came out of the store, there were two more covering the back corners of the building. That's weird. Pulled out onto the highway, and all of a sudden there was a convoy of them passing me in the other lane. Lost track of how many, but they were accompanied by the OST trucks–the blue tractor-trailers, two or three of them, the ones that are rumored to have the capability to defend themselves if telemetry indicates that the crew are all dead. Never saw anything like it.

Less dramatic, but also spoopy: weird signs stuck in the dirt along the roads in and out of town. Plain black & white signs that simply say "Leaving a legacy?" with no other information on them. Then new ones at the start of the year–also plain black & white, says "It will be OK," followed about a hundred feet later by a sign that says "Pray about it."
