Despite Lawsuit Concerns, T-Mobile to “Supercharge” 5G in NYC & Philly Without Sufficient Safety Testing

T-Mobile – brave, crazy, both? They frequently advertise their products being used in ways that violate federal RF safety guidelines. Then again – so do many companies. Sprint merged with them anyway. Like other telecoms, they are unleashing 5G on Americans (see 1, 2, 3) despite widespread opposition from citizens, the U.S. military, and other highly respected individuals and organizations.

Like other telecoms, they have been warning shareholders for many years that they may eventually be held liable for harm caused by their devices and transmitters (aka cell towers). There have been reports of people and animals getting sick where 5G already been turned on (see 1, 2, 3, 4). Of course that’s not really surprising – telecoms have still offered NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE that 5G is safe.

Regardless, the company recently decided to “supercharge” 5G.

Millions of Sprint customers can now roam on the T-Mobile LTE network. Sprint customers now have access to more than double the number of LTE sites than on Sprint’s network alone, so in areas where Sprint doesn’t have LTE, T-Mobile has them covered.

Pelosi names six new Democrats to coronavirus oversight panel

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Wednesday named six new Democrats to sit on a special committee overseeing coronavirus relief spending, signaling that party leaders intend to monitor the Trump administration aggressively as trillions of dollars go out the door.

The panel, created by a party-line vote last week, will be led by Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.), the Democratic whip. In a letter to Democrats Wednesday, Pelosi named six additional members: Reps. Maxine Waters (Calif.), Carolyn Maloney (N.Y.), Nydia Velázquez (N.Y.), Bill Foster (Ill.), Jamie Raskin (Md.) and Andy Kim (N.J.).

Democrats are billing the panel as a commonsense safeguard to ensure that the historic levels of emergency funding — money designed to prop up businesses, workers, families and medical providers most affected by the coronavirus fallout — aren't frittered away by fraud and abuse.

"We must be sure that the money we put forth goes to those who need it most, in a way that addresses disparities in access to health care and credit," Pelosi wrote. "We also owe it to the American people to prevent waste, fraud and abuse and to protect against price-gouging and profiteering."

The oversight panel, Pelosi says, is modeled on the Truman Committee, the bipartisan 1940s panel headed by then-Sen. Harry Truman (D-Mo.), which was formed to rein in fraud and profiteering among federal contractors during World War II.

Yet Clyburn's oversight committee is already shaping up to be a distinctly more partisan enterprise than its historic predecessor.

Although the parties have united to approve almost $3 trillion in emergency relief since the start of March, they're already clashing over the design, intention and necessity of the Clyburn panel.

Congress created in an earlier coronavirus bill a five-member panel of bipartisan lawmakers charged with overseeing hundreds of billions of dollars in bailout loans for corporations. The initial legislation also created a separate panel of inspectors general, as well as a third oversight post: the special inspector general for pandemic recovery.

With that in mind, Republican leaders in Congress and the White House have said the Clyburn committee is both redundant and politically motivated. They're accusing Democrats of establishing the panel merely to embarrass President Trump in the months leading up to November's elections — a debate that's the mirror image of that over the GOP's special Benghazi committee, which investigated Hillary Clinton in the lead up to the 2016 elections.

Bezalel Smotrich: Israel’s New Minister for Jerusalem Affairs Takes Aim at the Holy Sanctuary

Israel’s right-wing poster boy has been slated for the role of Minister for Jerusalem Affairs, giving him both the position and power to carry out his apocalyptic vision of building a Jewish Temple on the site of the Dome of the Rock.

Zionism is founded on the idea that Jews today have rights to a land they had not inhabited for thousands of years. These rights supersede the rights of the Palestinians, even though they have been living on that land for thousands of years. Smotrich says his plan is hard to grasp because it is out of the box. He must have forgotten that Nazis and other violent, supremacist regimes had rational reasons and even created laws that made their crimes against humanity seem legitimate.

Three Choices

The Smotrich plan offers three possibilities for the Palestinians: incentivized emigration, remaining without rights, or to fight and die.

The alarm regarding the destruction of the Holy Sanctuary should have been sounded long ago. Thankfully, it has not yet been destroyed and the Temple which Smotrich and his fellow fanatics want to build in its place, although it is in the advanced planning stages, has not yet been built. Much of Arab Palestine, and indeed Jerusalem, has already been destroyed, there will be no recourse once Smotrich, the designated Minister for Jerusalem Affairs, takes power and gets his hands on the Holy Sanctuary.

Joe Biden Wins Ohio’s Mail-in Democrat Presidential Primary

Joe Biden won Ohio’s “mail-in” Democrat primary after Governor DeWine delayed voting because of the Coronavirus.

The primary was originally scheduled for March 17 (before Bernie Sanders dropped out) but DeWine pushed the primary back several weeks and encouraged voters to vote by mail with an April 28 deadline.

The ballots must be postmarked by April 27 and must be received by May 8 in order to be counted.

Voters also had the ability to travel to their county board of elections and drop their ballots in a ‘secure drop box’ on Tuesday.

CBS reported that more than 18,000 ballots were dropped in the secure drop boxes.

What could possibly go wrong?

Joe Biden has won Ohio’s presidential primary, which was conducted by mail, CBS News projects. As of 8:30 p.m. ET, Biden had picked up 74 of Ohio’s 136 pledged delegates. The rest of the delegates will be awarded as more votes are counted. So far, Biden has won 72% of the vote — 623,186 of the 860,347 ballots counted at this point, according to Ohio’s secretary of state. Bernie Sanders won 17% support — he dropped his presidential bid in April, weeks after the primary was originally to take place.

Some in-person voting on Tuesday was allowed, although only to individuals with disabilities or those without permanent mailing addresses. Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced Monday that over 1.9 million Ohioans had requested a vote-by-mail ballot, and over 1.4 million had already cast their vote.

At a press conference on Tuesday, LaRose said the U.S. Postal Service told him that the postal service was delivering 17,000 ballot envelopes to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, which is home to Cleveland, and 10,000 ballot envelopes to the Hamilton County Board of Elections, where Cincinnati is located.

The Democrat-media complex cheered Ohio’s mail-in primary.

Jared Kushner: Much of the US Will Be ‘Back to Normal’ in June

President Donald Trump’s adviser, Jared Kushner, predicted that much of the United States will be “back to normal” by June amid restrictions and stay-at-home orders triggered by the CCP virus pandemic.

Can Americans Trust Apple And Google? Tech Giants Face Privacy Concerns Over Coronavirus Contact Tracing App

41% of those queried in the Washington Post-University of Maryland poll said they would use such an app

Big tech’s plan to track coronavirus with an infection alert app may have run into a snag: A poll released

Wednesday indicates nearly 60% of Americans are unwilling or unable to use it.

Google and Apple, working with public health officials and university researchers, are working on apps that would notify people about contact with someone who had tested positive for the virus, which has infected more than 3.1 million people worldwide, more than 1 million in the U.S., and killed more than 218,000, more than 58,000 in the U.S.

The two tech giants have said the underlying software could be ready for release this week, allowing public health agencies to opt-in and develop their own apps and contact protocols. A second phase of the software would take the app worldwide.

The apps would work off Bluetooth and track users’ whereabouts. Those who are notified they are infected would receive a code that then could be used to alert those with whom they had contact. The companies said the information would not be saved to a central database.

In Australia, an app released by the government Sunday has been downloaded by 8% of the population while about 20% of Singaporeans have downloaded an app released last month.

A Washington Post-University of Maryland poll indicates just 41% of the 1,008 adults queried April 21-26 said they would use an app that allows people to report anonymously whether they had tested positive for coronavirus, with 16% saying they definitely would not use it and 18% saying they don’t have a smartphone.

Fifty-nine percent said they would be comfortable reporting a positive coronavirus test to an anonymous app.

Those expressing worry about contracting COVID-19 are more apt to use such an app than those who are not, 59% vs. 35%. Democrats were more likely to say they’d use the app (61%) than Republicans (38%) with independents in the middle (48%).

The lack of smartphones among seniors, who fall into the high-risk category for contracting the deadly form of the disease, could be a major hurdle to the effectiveness of the app. Just 53% of those over 65 have smartphones and even fewer Americans over 75 have them (40%).

Smartphone users indicated they don’t really trust the tech giants to keep the data anonymous, with just 43% expressing confidence. The percentage rose to 56% when asked about universities and 57% when asked about public health departments. Respondents also had more faith in their insurance companies, 47%, than they did in Google and Apple.

In Electricity We Trust: Soros Fund Backs up E-Vehicle Charging Startup

Experts say the auto industry, including producers of electric vehicles, will be among the hardest hit by the global economic slowdown triggered by the coronavirus pandemic. Nevertheless, experts say that in the long-term the e-vehicle industry has a brighter future.

Soros Fund Management is backing Amply Power, an electric-vehicle charging startup, helping it to secure $13.2 million. Other investors include Siemens and existing seed round investors like Congruent Ventures, PeopleFund and Obvious Ventures.

According to the California-based company’s website, it is the leader in charging services for commercial electric vehicle fleets, providing infrastructure and software while helping fleets transition to electric vehicles. The company said the funding would help it deliver on existing contracts and scale up from pilot-phase contracts with fleets in the single digits to ones that it calls production scale.

"Coming out of the coronavirus, irrespective of what we’re having in oil pricing, fleet customers will continue to look toward electric mobility as the better option", said Vic Shao, Amply Power’s chief executive officer.

Shao noted that he expects more commercial vehicles to become electric due to government rules on cleaner energy.

"Time and again, the major hurdle most electric truck and bus pilots face is the charging infrastructure", said Iti Jain, vice president at Siemens Financial Services. "Amply presents a unique opportunity for us and the industry, to accelerate fleet adoption by removing this needless complexity."

According to research conducted by BloombergNEF, battery-powered vans could become cheaper in the United States by 2022 and in Europe by 2021.

New FOIA Emails Reveal Close Relationship Between WaPo Reporter And Pentagon Director Accused Of Leaking Flynn Call

The Pentagon's current Director of the Office of Net Assessment had extensive communications with Washington Post reporter and deep-state conduit David Ignatius during the Russiagate fiasco, according to 143 pages of new records from the Department of Defense obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request by legal watchdog group Judicial Watch.

James Baker (not the Obama FBI's top attorney with the same name) was alleged in a November 1, 2019 court filing by Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn's attorneys to be "the person who illegally leaked" transcripts of Flynn's calls with Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak to Ignatius - who published the calls on January 12, 2017, "setting in motion a chain of events that lead to Flynn’s February 13, 2017, firing as National Security Advisor and subsequent prosecution for making false statements to the FBI about the calls," according to Judicial Watch.

Baker was also accused by Flynn's legal team of being obese spy Stefan Halper's handler, acting as a cutout to leak information to Ignatius information that would be damaging to Trump regarding false rumors that Flynn had a romantic relationship with a Russian academic, Svetlana Lokhova, as part of a smear campaign.

Lawyers for Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn alleged in a November 1, 2019, court filing that Baker “is believed to be the person who illegally leaked” to Ignatius the transcripts of Flynn’s December 29, 2016, telephone calls with Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak. The Washington Post published Ignatius’ account of the calls on January 12, 2017, setting in motion a chain of events that lead to Flynn’s February 13, 2017, firing as National Security Advisor and subsequent prosecution for making false statements to the FBI about the calls. U.S. Attorney John Durham is reportedly investigating the leak of information targeting Flynn.

Citing “the government’s bad faith, vindictiveness and breach of the plea agreement,” in January 2020 Flynn’s attorney, Sidney Powell, moved to withdraw Flynn’s 2017 guilty plea during the Mueller investigation. Flynn claims he felt forced to plead guilty “when his son was threatened with prosecution and he exhausted his financial resources.” Last week, prosecutors provided Flynn’s defense team with documentation of this threat, according to additional papers Flynn’s lawyers filed April 24, 2020, in support of the motion to withdraw.

Judicial Watch obtained the records in a November 2019 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed after the DOD failed to respond to a September 2019 request (Judicial Watch v. Department of Defense (No. 1:19-cv-03564)). Judicial Watch seeks:

Houthis Conclude Large-Scale Operation In Al-Jawf, Claim 95% Of The Province Is Under Control

On April 29, the Houthis concluded their large-scale operation, dubbed “Prevail Over Them,” in the northern Yemeni province of al-Jawf.

A spokesman for the Yemeni group, Brig. Gen. Yahya Sari, told the al-Masirah TV that the remaining regions of al-Jawf were captured, claiming that 95% of the province is now clear from the Saudi-led coalition and its proxies.

“In the last phase of Operation Prevail Over Them, the al-Labanat Camp, al-Aqsh’a, al-Khasf and the nearby areas in al-Maraziq and al-Mahashmah in al-Jawf were cleared,” the spokesman said.

Brig. Gen. Sari added that the recently cleared areas, which include the al-Hzim desert and areas in the nearby district of Khabb wa al-Sha’af, stretch over 3,500 km2. According to the spokesman, 1,200 Saudi-backed fighters were killed in the last phase of the operation.

Earlier this week, the Houthis released a combat video of the final phase of Operation Prevail Over Them, showing the capture of the al-Labanat Camp. The military camp, which was one of the Saudi-led coalition’s last positions in al-Jawf, is a bridgehead to the nearby province of Ma’rib.

By imposing control of vast regions of al-Jawf, the Houthis have solidified their positions on the border with the Saudi province of Najran. Moreover, the Yemeni group has repeatedly demonstrated itself capable of launching cross-border raids from al-Jawf.

U.S. And Russian Economies Shrink, As China Invests Heavily In Infrastructure

The U.S. economy shrunk 4.8% in the first quarter of 2020, this is the biggest slide since 2008 and the first time it has contracted at all since 2014.

This is a direct result of the need to close businesses to fight the spread of COVID-19, as well as the oil market crash.

Consumer spending, which had already begun to cool in the second half of 2019, fell at a 7.6% rate in the first quarter of 2020.

The second quarter is expected to be even worse, with analysts expecting a shrinking of the economy not seen since the 1940s. Bloomberg Economics has projected a 37% annualized contraction, but UniCredit is the most bearish with a 65% estimate.

“It’s kind of incredible when you think about the fact that the economy was running pretty much on a normal footing for over 80% of the first quarter,” Stephen Stanley, chief economist at Amherst Pierpont Securities LLC, said.

Early hopes for a rapid rebound have faded with most analysts assuming a jump in activity once the virus passes will be followed by a slower resumption of growth.

While two quarters of contraction is considered by most to constitute a recession, the official call in the U.S. is made by the Business Cycle Dating Committee, a panel of economists at the National Bureau of Economic Research.

Russia, too, is struggling, with analysts estimating a reduction in the income of Russian oil companies by $18–20 billion, or about 40%, due to a drop in oil prices and a decrease in production.

In April 2020, oil exports are moving towards: taking into account taxes, transportation costs and operating expenses, losses will amount to $6–8 per barrel. However, this will be a consequence of high duties on oil exports. In May oil exports will become barely profitable.

As of May 1st, analysts the export duty on oil after the spring collapse will drop by $45.2 and amount to $ 6.8 per ton. In April, it amounted to $52 per ton. At the same time, the duty on highly viscous oil will decrease to $1 from $5.2, for light oil products and oils – to $2, for dark – to $6.8.

International oil companies were initially trying to avoid reducing their production, by circumventing it through producing in countries such as Nigeria, but this also is beginning to prove impossible.

BP, Royal Dutch Shell, Total and Eni showed steady production growth with an additional bonus in the form of attracting investors through generous dividends. Now everything is different. Most likely, the major oil companies expect the largest drop in production in decades. BP will have to share the burden of cuts in Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan is in difficult negotiations with Chevron, Exxon, Shell and Eni. The cuts will exacerbate the damage inflicted by NK on low oil prices and weak fuel sales.

It is not yet possible to determine the exact volumes of production reductions, as the largest oil companies and many countries continue to conduct difficult negotiations. They can reach a record hundreds of thousands of b/d per company, or 5-10% of their level of oil production.

In contrast, China appears to be handling the situation rather well. In 2020, it is expected that Chinese economy will grow, less than 2%, but it will not shrink.

The median estimate for 2020 full-year gross domestic product growth from 56 economists surveyed this month fell to 1.8% from 3.7% in March.

To help mitigate the coronavirus shocks, China will likely raise the annual quota for local government special bonds. The majority of analysts expect the government to sell between 3 trillion yuan ($424 billion) and 4 trillion-yuan worth of debt, higher than last year’s total of 2.15 trillion yuan.

Some economists expect a 4 trillion-yuan ($565 billion) issuance of special bonds, to be spent on infrastructure in an attempt to kick-start the economy.

Key infrastructure projects for 2020 include the build-out of the Sichuan-Tibet railway, a high-speed rail corridor along the Yangtze river and intercity connections in major city clusters. Elsewhere, special bonds are being used to fund toll-road projects from Gansu province in the north west to the rust-belt of Heilongjiang.

“It’s common practice that local governments artificially inflate anticipated revenues of infrastructure projects in order to get approval to issue special bonds,” said Tang Fengchi, a consultant on public-private partnerships to China’s Ministry of Finance. “Special bonds can solve the funding problems, but it is no solution to local governments’ inability to make scientific decisions.”

ICE removes Liberian security forces commander

MINNEAPOLIS — A member of the Liberian security forces under the regime of Liberian President Charles Taylor was removed Tuesday by officers with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). Alexander Mentol Zinnah, 56, arrived in Liberia escorted by ERO officers on board an ICE charter removal flight and was turned over to Liberian law enforcement authorities.

In 2017, ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) St. Paul arrested Zinnah for immigration violations and violating the terms of his parole into the U.S. HSI St. Paul’s investigation revealed Zinnah was a member of the National Patriotic Front of Liberia (NPFL), a rebel group led by Charles Taylor that engaged in a wide range of human rights abuses including massacres, torture, and kidnapping. Zinnah was also a member of the Liberian National Police and served as a commander in Grand Gedeh County, Liberia, during the time that Charles Taylor was President of Liberia. Charles Taylor was convicted in 2012 and sentenced to 50 years imprisonment by an international court for human rights violations in Liberia from1997-2003. He is currently serving his sentence in the United Kingdom.

The immigration court issued Zinnah a final order of removal (deportation order) May 7, 2019. His appeal of the immigration judge’s decision was denied by the Board of Immigration appeals Jan. 6 and his petition of habeas corpus, requesting release from custody, was dismissed by a U.S. District Court on Feb. 14. The immigration case was litigated by ICE St. Paul Office of the Principal Legal Advisor.

The enforcement efforts targeting Zinnah were supported by ICE’s Human Rights Violators and War Crimes Center (HRVWCC). Established in 2009 to further ICE’s efforts to identify, track and prosecute human rights abusers, the HRVWCC leverages the expertise of a select group of agents, lawyers, intelligence and research specialists, historians and analysts who direct the agency’s broader enforcement efforts against these offenders.

Since 2003, ICE has arrested more than 450 individuals for human rights-related violations of the law under various criminal and/or immigration statutes. During that same period, ICE obtained deportation orders and/order physically removed from the United States more than 1050 known or suspected human rights violators. Additionally, ICE has facilitated the departure of an additional 167 such individuals from the United States.

Currently, HSI has more than 180 active investigations into suspected human rights violators and is pursuing more than 1,640 leads and removal cases involving suspected human rights violators from 95 different countries. Since 2003, the HRVWCC has issued more than 76,000 lookouts for individuals from more than 110 countries and stopped over 315 human rights violators and war crimes suspects from entering the U.S.

NYC Man Accused Of Traveling To North Carolina For Sex With A 14-Year-Old Girl

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A New York man appeared in federal court Tuesday, on charges of traveling from Brooklyn to Charlotte for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct with a minor.

“The internet has been an essential tool during the COVID-19 outbreak, helping children continue their studies through remote learning and stay connected with teachers, classmates, friends and family through social media and other apps,” said U.S. Attorney Murray. “However, more unmonitored screen time can lead to an increased risk of exposure to all the dangers that lurk on the internet, including child predators who leverage social media to target and exploit innocent children. I urge parents to take proper precautions and be extra-vigilant in monitoring their children’s online activity, so kids can continue to take advantage of all the positive things the digital world has to offer and safely use their electronic devices to enrich their lives, while staying safe from predators and other online threats.”

According to allegations contained in the federal charging document, on April 16, 2020, the Union County Sheriff’s office received information regarding a missing 14-year-old female, who was possibly located in Charlotte with an adult male, later identified as Oppenheimer. CMPD officers were able to locate the minor at a residence in Charlotte, and the minor was returned to Union County. Law enforcement subsequently arrested Oppenheimer.

According to allegations in the criminal complaint, law enforcement determined that Oppenheimer met the minor on “Omegle,” a free online chat website, and later began talking to the minor on “Snapchat,” a mobile app that allows users to share messages, photos, and videos. The federal criminal complaint alleges that Oppenheimer wanted to meet the minor in April due to the COVID-19 outbreak, otherwise it was possible their meeting would need to be postponed up to a year, until the outbreak was over. The criminal complaint further alleges that the defendant was aware that the victim was a minor, and that he traveled from New York to Charlotte to meet with the minor for the purpose of engaging in sexual contact.

Oppenheimer is charged with one count of traveling across state lines for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity with a minor. He is currently in federal custody.

Chief Public Health Officer of Canada Appeared in 2010 Documentary to Advocate ‘Tracking Bracelets’ For Vaccine Refusniks

Canada’s current Chief Public Health Officer appeared in a recently resurfaced 2010 documentary in which she advocated using mandatory “tracking bracelets” for people who refuse to take a vaccine after a virus outbreak.

Theresa Tam has become one of the faces of Canada’s response to coronavirus, appearing in public service announcements encouraging social distancing.

On 23 April, she was was appointed by Justin Trudeau to be a member of the COVID-19 Immunity Task Force, despite having previously asserted that there was “no reason to be overly concerned” about coronavirus back in January.

As late as January 29, she told Canadians, “It’s going to be rare, but we are expecting cases.”

Now a 10-year-old clip of Theresa Tam is recirculating during which she comments on how the government could respond to people who refuse to take a mandatory vaccine after a virus outbreak.

The clip is taken from a 2010 National Film Board of Canada documentary entitled ‘Outbreak: Anatomy of a Plague’.

“I think the public has to know, this is one of the worst case scenarios in case of an infectious disease outbreak,” says Tam.

“If there are people who are non-compliant, there are definitely laws and public health powers that can quarantine people in mandatory settings,” she adds.

“It’s potential you could track people, put bracelets on their arms, have police and other set ups to ensure quarantine is undertaken,” says Tam, adding that it was worth “taking the heat” of “people thinking you might be overreactionary.”

The narrator of the documentary then added some context as to what might happen next.

“Police checkpoints are set up on all the bridges. Everyone leaving the city is required to show proof of vaccination. Those who refuse to cooperate are taken away to temporary detention centers.”

Around 80 different groups around the world are currently working on a vaccine for coronavirus, but experts have said there’s no guarantee it will even be succsessfu;.
