'member when Reagan fired the air traffic controllers when they went on strike?
Our air traffic system did not break down.
It's just the way the javascript works, anon. Sometimes the JS cannot fetch the updated portions of the page's HTML in time to display them for you. Sometimes the process the rebuilds the HTML when replies come in is delayed. It's not a deliberate hiding thing – it's just a technical glitch.
An hour? Certainly not. If the page is not updating promptly for you, there are a few things you can do that will generally help.
-
Try forced refresh of the webpage. CTRL-F5.
-
Try clocing your browser and opening it again.
-
Try a different VPN exit node if you are using a VPN.
-
The javascript web cache may have gotten damaged, perhaps due to a network error. (It happens rather often, not as often as it used to though.) To correct this, clear cookies and web content for 8kun. (User your browser help to find out how to do this for a specific browser). After clearing them, restart the browser. Prior "you"s will be gone but the web cache should function normally from them on (until the next time it glitches).

Make sure you answer a Captcha before trying to post.

Some anons swear by keeping the Index or Catalog page open in a tab and refreshing it once in a while.
Oldfags do this all the time and it's no big deal. You get to recognize the symptoms and know what will help.
Made a ton of anti-surveillance anti-programming memes a long time ago. Can't find the one I'm looking for. The one showing the Google Street View van spying on everyone.
