this is the key point
if a new baker hasn't dropped something by 200 or 250 at the latest, anons ought to start inquiries
if a new baker hasn't dropped by 400, then some other anon ought to take the bake.
this business of getting to 600 with no active baker is just part of the kayfabe

in addition to the ID post count,
could we add a "post number in this bread" for each post? something like

it would make it much more obvious where we are in a bread, there would be less excuse for not watching bakers and NO excuse for calling notables after baker is baking next bread.
the point is that nobody looks at the count at the bottom. if they did we'd all be more aware of where we are in the bread.
