On The Scope

West Coast US and Pacific

Another US sub put to sea out of Pearl Harbor. Unfortunately I didn't grab a cap fast enough. Saw it, noted it and came back to ssnag it about 20 minutes later and poof. This cap shows her approx position before she decided to go EMCON.

Chinese Coast

Aware that the Senkaku Islands were in the news for the ChiCom coast guard showing up and harrassing a Japanese fishing boat. Those are contested islands in the East China Sea, north of Taiwan and WSW of Okinawa. Nothing showing rn. Still watching this area as well as the South China Sea and the other islands the ChiComs wanna claim. Nothing to report rn.

Petroleum Gulf

Usual traffic. One exception is what appears to be an Iranian patrol craft that has wandered out into the center of the gulf around the shipping lanes. Will keep an eye on him, no cap.
