Flynn got in trouble for a faulty FARA application. Thing is, Flynn paid Covington to do it for him. Covington fucked it up and should have been a co-defendant on any charges related to it, I would think.
So, Covington cutting a bullshit deal with DOJ on Flynn's behalf was, perhaps, just a maneuver to cover their own ass. Covington should have recused for conflict of interest. I'm guessing Covington is looking at a beaucoup bucks lawsuit in favor of General Flynn, maybe enough, combined with them loss of reputation, to make them go under.
