Boatfag Quick Update

At least one foreign news sources is reporting the US-flagged offshore supply ship ADAM JOSEPH is "shadowing" Iranian tankers

https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/second-iranian-tanker-reaches-venezuela-report/

Seen ADAM JOSEPH in the area most of the week. She's been hanging around off Trinidad and Tobago, periodically running an east-west track in international waters off the northern Venezuela coast. She isn't tagging along with anyone but might be acting as a picket boat.

1st cap shows recent track history. 2nd cap is current position.

The timing of the arrivals of the first two Iranian tankers in that area (western approaches to Juan Griego Island) have been at night. Possible that the Iranians are timing arrivals at night to make close visual observation more difficult. Also would explain the northerly bend of the track taken by FOREST, instead of coming in closer to Venezuela on a similar route that FORTUNE took.

Noice pickup!

Also noticed LOS FRAILES hanging out there. Same position as yours, and no data on the lead craft. It's a landing craft; AIS is now calling it a fishing vessel. I call it bullshit, those are a couple of early warning boats. See cap.

So, which one's which? I'm assuming mine is actually LOS ROQUES and the lead is LOS FRAILES, could be the other way around tho.
