I also think she found something she shouldn't have. Maybe having to do with the recount, or possibly the claim that she discovered files detailing government assassination squads and other crimes of the state: 'True Colors', although I've been unable to find any information about those specific documents from other sources. Interestingly, one had connected the death/murder of Sonny Bono to the same files.
