THE YANKS ARE FLYING IN! MASS LANDING AT DRESDNER AIRPORT

Dresden - Several US Army combat and transport helicopters landed at Dresden Airport in the early evening.

According to TAG24 information, 17 "Apache" combat helicopters and five "Chinook" transport helicopters have arrived at the site.

They made a stopover to refuel the planes and then fly on towards Poland, where they will take part in a NATO manoeuvre and bring material there.

Several of the helicopters had already been seen in the sky over Chemnitz in the afternoon (TAG24 reported). These are probably the same aircraft that have now been refuelled in Dresden.
