As unrest spread across dozens of American cities on Friday, the Pentagon took the rare step of ordering the Army to put several active-duty US military police units on the ready to deploy to Minneapolis, where the police killing of George Floyd sparked the widespread protests.

 

Soldiers from Fort Bragg in North Carolina and Fort Drum in New York have been ordered to be ready to deploy within four hours if called, according to three people with direct knowledge of the orders.

 

Soldiers in Fort Carson, in Colorado, and Fort Riley in Kansas have been told to be ready within 24 hours.

Pope Francis Reveals Catholic Priests Used Nuns As Sex Slaves

 

Pope Francis' statements come after a report was released last week by a Vatican women's magazine which detailed nuns forced to abort priests' children.

 

In a historical first, the Roman Catholic Church has not only acknowledged the sexual abuse of nuns on behalf of its own clergy, but detailed how nuns were used as sex slaves by priests and bishops alike.

 

Pope Francis said on Tuesday that he was devoted to ending the rampant issue: β€œWe have been working on this for a long time. We have suspended some priests because of this.”

 

The unusual transparency came in response to a reporter’s questions about an article published by Women’s Church World, the Vatican’s women’s magazine, which exposed this sexual abuse by clerics β€” and described the abortions these nuns would have to undergo, or the difficulties of giving birth to children fathered by priests.

 

β€œIt is true … there have been priests and even bishops who have done this. I think it is still going on because something does not stop just because you have become aware of it,” Pope Francis conceded.

 

Last week’s Vatican magazine article claimed priests operating in Africa specifically used nuns for sex because they were deemed physiologically safe in the face of the continent’s AIDS crisis. The article also gave nuns in India and Chile a chance to detail their experiences with clerical sexual abuse.

 

The growing spotlight on the church is twofold: the willingness to speak up in the era of the #MeToo movement, and subsequently, the extensive investigations into the church’s sex crimes.

 

The Associated Press published its thoroughly researched findings into these allegations last year and found that the sexual abuse of nuns by clergy was β€œglobal and pervasive.”

 

The BBC reported that one bishop in India, for instance, was arrested last year over allegations that he had raped a nun 13 times between 2014 and 2016. A Vatican investigation into similar reports from Chile resulted in the women removed from the order.

 

This global system of abuse has reportedly become so insidious that church leaders either allow it to continue in the face of complicity or exasperation or dissolve entire congregations irrevocably affected by it. Pope Francis himself mentioned his predecessor, Benedict XVI, as a prime example of the latter.

 

Benedict XVI reportedly dissolved an entire religious order of nuns in 2005 β€œbecause a certain slavery of woman had crept in, slavery to the point of sexual slavery on the part of the clergy or the founder.” A Vatican spokesperson later reported that this instance referred to the Contemplative Sisters of Saint-Jean, a small group in France.

Congress Is Poised to Pass Far-reaching Israeli Wish List

 

Congress is set to pass its most far-reaching bill related to Israel at the height of a national public health emergency.

 

With the Senate Foreign Relations Committee’s passage of the United States-Israel Security Assistance Authorization Act of 2020 last week, the current Congress is now poised to enact with little transparency its most far-reaching bill related to Israel at the height of a national public health emergency.

 

According to Lara Friedman, President of the Foundation for Middle East Peace (FMEP), the committee vote took place β€œwithout even bothering with a pretense of public discussion” and was especially egregious because the committee voted on a wholly new version of the bill which β€œwas not made public until long after the hearing ended.”

 

The opacity of the committee’s vote on the bill was even more shocking considering its importance.

 

Ostensibly the main purpose of the bill, S.3176, is to codify in law the levels of military aid and funding for missile defense agreed to by the United States and Israel in a 2016 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

 

This MOU, pledging a record-breaking $38 billion for Israel between 2019 and 2028, solidified President Obama’s legacy as the president most munificent to Israel.

 

However, a presidential pledge of weapons to Israel does not automatically result in their delivery. According to the constitution, Congress passes spending bills, and funds first need to be authorized and then appropriated before they can be obligated and expended by the president.

 

If passed, S.3176 would authorize Congress to appropriate funds for the remaining budgetary years of the MOU. However, if that were the sole purpose of the bill, it merely would be an inconsequential act of grandstanding since it is inconceivable that Congress would fail to appropriate the funds as scheduled every year.

 

Instead, the real purpose of the bill is to potentially boost military aid to Israel even higher and further enmesh the US-Israeli relationship in various military and economic fields.

 

According to the MOU, $3.3 billion per year in foreign military financing (FMF) and $500 million in missile defense was supposed to have served as a very generous ceiling for US aid. Both sides committed to β€œrespect the FMF levels specified in this MOU, and not to seek changes to the FMF levels for the duration of this understanding.”

 

S.3176 would authorize $3.3 billion annually in FMF not as a ceiling, as negotiated by the Obama administration, but as a floor. The bill seeks to do so surreptitiously by amending existing statutory authorization for military aid to Israel by replacing an amount β€œequal to” with β€œnot less than” $3.3 billion annually.

After two-and-a-half months of lockdown restrictions to slow the spread of COVID-19, it’s become clear where Californians are most at risk.

 

Longterm care homes for the elderly, jails and prisons, food processing plants and social gatherings appear to be the main culprits for repeated outbreaks. And as communities begin lifting restrictions on churches, schools and other large gatherings, the state’s major outbreaks offer clues to where health measures are most needed going forward.

 

β€œWe’re clearly seeing those clusters of cases occurring in these congregate settings β€” that is a warning to us that in those types of settings we have to be more vigilant,” said Dr. Lee W. Riley, a professor of infectious diseases and vaccinology at the UC Berkeley school of public health.

 

A Bay Area News Group review of known major outbreak clusters across California shows they account for a significant share of the state’s more than 100,000 cases:

 

An outbreak of more than 1,100 infections among inmates and staff at a federal prison complex in Santa Barbara County is among the biggest concentrations of cases in the country.

The nearly 17,000 residents and workers infected in California’s skilled-nursing and residential care facilities for the elderly make up more than 16% of the state’s total COVID-19 cases.

The more than 2,000 who have died at those facilities make up more than half the state’s coronavirus deaths.

 

And the list of major outbreaks continues to mount: 693 infected at a state prison in Chino, 355 at a Los Angeles jail, 188 at a Visalia nursing home, 180 infected at Central Valley Meat Co. in Hanford, 103 aboard a cruise ship that anchored in Oakland, 71 at a Sacramento church and 106 at a San Francisco homeless shelter.

 

Smaller case clusters locally in the past week include 39 infected at Morgan Hill seafood wholesaler Lusamerica Fish, 12 at a Cardenas Markets store in Oakland, and four family gatherings in Santa Cruz County, including a Mother’s Day celebration, that together boosted the county’s case total 20 percent.

 

What makes places like these hot spots? Riley said a lot has to do with the nature of the coronavirus. The infected tend to β€œshed” the virus for up to five days before they start feeling ill, he said, much longer than the day or two with influenza.

 

That means people are coming to work and socializing without knowing they are transmitting the virus. Even so, he said it takes about 15 minutes of close contact for the β€œviral load” to reach a threshold that causes a nearby person to catch the disease.

 

β€œYou really need close contact for a period of time for this to happen,” Riley said. β€œThe number of viruses it takes to establish and produce an infection is relatively large. Unlike measles, which just needs a few, with this coronavirus, you may need prolonged contact for enough virus to get transmitted.”

 

Indoor settings also aid transmission of the virus, Riley said. Outdoor breezes quickly scatter airborne virus, thinning their concentration, and sunlight destroys them after about a half-hour. Indoors, concentrated virus can linger in the air much longer and survive on some surfaces for days.

 

That explains why so many outbreaks occur at institutional settings like jails, prisons and elder care homes, where inmates and residents remain inside together in large numbers and share many facilities. It also explains clusters of cases among crowded, multigenerational households and large family gatherings.

 

β€œThe virus has the potential to hang around longer than it does outdoors, where the wind’s blowing,” Riley said.

All of this was tied together by ADL operative Dave Sifry, who is leading the Zionist organization's "Center for Technology and Society Initiative" – the body behind the massive crackdown on internet free speech over social media.

 

Sifry andthe ADL seek to use clear cut unethical activity like "swatting," "doxing" (which Jewish groups themselves constantly engage in), and revenge porn as a shoehorn for broader policing of legitimate political speech.

According to TAG24 information, 17 "Apache" combat helicopters and five "Chinook" transport helicopters have arrived at the site.

 

They made a stopover to refuel the planes and then fly on towards Poland, where they will take part in a NATO manoeuvre and bring material there.

 

Several of the helicopters had already been seen in the sky over Chemnitz in the afternoon (TAG24 reported). These are probably the same aircraft that have now been refuelled in Dresden.

New Study Links Brain Tumors to Power Lines Exposure

 

It may seem like warnings have only been cited about the many health risks associated with exposure to sources of wireless radiation (i.e. 5G, Bluetooth, cell phone and WiFi radiation). However, there have been warnings about exposure risks from additional sources of Electromagnetic Radiation (aka β€œElectrosmog”) for many years as well. This includes power lines.

 

Thanks to Environmental Health Trust for reporting about a new study that determined a link between power lines and brain tumors, as well as including additional research that proves harm from exposure.

 

The journal Environmental Research has published a new study entitled β€œResidential proximity to power lines and risk of brain tumor in the general population” which found an increased risk of brain tumors was associated with living near power lines. Powerlines are a source of residential exposure to magnetic field electromagnetic radiation (EMF) and repeated research studies for decades have associated magnetic field power-line frequency ELF-EMF from power lines to a type of childhood leukemia.

 

In 2001 the International Agency for Research on Cancer concluded that exposure to power-line frequency ELF-EMF is a β€œpossible” human carcinogen- a decision based largely evidence of an increased risk for childhood leukemias with residential exposure .

 

Kaiser Permanente researchers have published several studies linking pregnant women’s exposure to magnetic field electromagnetic fields to not only increased miscarriage and but also increased ADHD, obesity and asthma in the woman’s prenatally exposed children.

 

Two published studies by the Ramazzini Institute β€œCarcinogenic Synergism of S-50 Hz MF Plus Formaldehyde in Rats” (2016) and β€œLife-span exposure to sinusoidal-50 Hz magnetic field and acute low-dose Ξ³ radiation induce carcinogenic effects in Sprague-Dawley rats” (2016) found that ELF exposed rats had statistically significant increased incidence of several type of malignant tumors when combined with a known carcinogen.

 

Over a dozen countries already have some level of protective policy in place regarding this type of electromagnetic radiation. The countries of Croatia, Finland, France, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Belgium (Wallonia, Flanders) Denmark, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Lithuania, Poland have a magnetic field radiation limit for β€œsensitive areas” far far lower than ICNIRP. Sensitive areas are generally defined as areas where children live and play such as schools, kindergartens or recreation areas. Sometimes the definition includes hospitals and residential areas. These countries’ magnetic field EMF limits are 3 or 4 milligauss, the level of milligauss associated with childhood leukemia in repeated published studies. However ICNIRP recommends a residential magnetic field exposure limit of 2,000 milligauss (mG) and an occupational exposure limit of 10,000 mG.

 

The United States has no limit on legal levels of milligauss electromagnetic radiation. However the California Department of Education enacted a regulation to require minimum distances between new schools and the edge of a transmission line β€œright-of-way.”

We can all come together for now and pretend that a homogeneous society isn't in all of our best interest (as proven through antiquity) so that we can defeat [them], but we're all lying to our mirrors if we seriously think this issue shouldn't be faced one day.

The black community sold out in our time of desperate need and destroyed their own communities. We didn't provoke them to do this. We didn't bribe them to do this. In fact, plenty of their own (see protests in DC) attempted to stop them and they still wreaked havoc across the country.

 

There's no reason for us to demonize all blacks everywhere for this, especially if some of them are willing to help us contain their peers (some genuine patriots they are, too), but we've got to have this conversation one day despite whether or not you or any of your colleagues or subordinates agree. Yes, this was a time of high tension and yes plenty of them have been molded in to these shadows of themselves since birth using very refined and tested methods, but there's no way we can avoid saying the same for whites. If nothing else, this proves that a heterogeneous society has weak points that can clearly be taken advantage of by people that don't play by rules.

 

Why should we overlook this? We helped them build the very communities they're destroying right now.

 

Don't get me wrong, we certainly want them freed as much as you do, but we're going to have to ask ourselves some very difficult questions in the future in light of recent events regardless of whether or not you, I or anyone else prefers we don't.

Obama signs executive order to put sanctions on Russia on Dec 28. The article explains Kislyak contacts Flynn on Dec 28, 2016, not the other way around. On Dec 29 Flynn calls a senior transition officer to find out what to say to Kislyak. Flynn learns through the transition official that members of the presidential transition team did not want Russia to escalate the situation. Flynn then calls Kislyak and asks that Russia not to escalate the situation. The NYT article shows that Kislyak contacted Flynn Dec 28, Flynn contacted a senior transition official, and then Flynn called Kislyak after talking to a senior transition official with instructions to ask Kislyak that Russia not escalate the situation.

Another article from Washington Examiner made an interesting observation. "The date on which Biden received the information about Flynn, Jan. 12, was the same day the Washington Post ran a column by David Ignatius containing leaked classified details from Flynn's call with the Russian ambassador." There are many interesting questions that the media seems to ignore and does not ask. For example, it's interesting that Rice sent an email to herself. It's interesting how many people unmasked Flynn in Dec 2016 -Jan 2017. When all the pieces are put together, so much appears NOT to have been done by the book. One anonymous person asks a good question: "Were they trying to create a cause of action for the eventual appointment of a special counsel to continually investigate a President (and his NSI, Flynn) who had done nothing wrong?"

'They' might include Rice, Biden, Obama, Yates, and Comey since they were at the January 5th meeting memorialized by Rice's email to herself on Jan 20, 2017. Rod Rosenstein may also be involved because he set up the special counsel with Mueller. If Rod is dirty, then Mueller is also likely dirty. The Mueller report was a huge failure and cost Americans millions. Even after the Mueller report failed to impeach President Trump, many media outlets continued to use the report to attack Trump, his friends, family, and support. Court proceedings also enabled 'them' to keep certain facts secret so 'they' could further deceive the American People.

As the state does not allow absentee "no-excuse" voting, so most Missouri voters are only eligible to cast a vote in-person.

 

"I hope people feel safe to go out and vote, but if they don’t, their safety should be No. 1," Parson said in his press conference on Thursday. "If they don’t, then 'don’t go out and vote."

 

There's a bill awaiting Parson's signature that could allow anyone to vote by mail, but it can only be in place soon enough to apply to the August primary and November presidential elections. Parson said on Friday morning he plans to make a decision on that legislation sometime next week.

 

The election on June 2 was moved from the original April 7 date due to the coronavirus pandemic. There won't be an election in St. Louis City.

 

Parson did stress that he hopes everyone feels safe enough to vote on Tuesday and said voting is "one of the most important things you can do."

 

"I would never insinuate people shouldn't go vote," Parson says. "But I would never tell anyone to put yourselves in harm's way if they really felt that way about going out."

Any police officer that deliberately places their knee (and hence, their body weight) on the neck of a suspect who is pinned against the ground is doing so out of a premeditated desire to cause death.

 

The question isn’t whether George Floyd was murdered β€” he clearly was β€” the real question is why he was murdered.

 

Put another way, who benefits from the death of George Floyd?

 

The answer, of course, is that the forces of chaos and destruction (i.e. anti-American, anti-Trump) benefit from his murder. The more chaos and destruction is unleashed during this election year, the more the media hypes up the disaster and assigns blame to President Trump. Logically, it’s absurd, since President Trump had nothing to do with the murder of George Floyd. But emotionally, the media propaganda messaging whips up fear, anger and frustration β€” emotions that will largely be translated into anti-Trump sentiment in the coming elections.

 

This comes on the heels of Joe Biden telling a black interview host, β€œYou ain’t black” if you don’t vote for me. The black community was rightfully outraged. Military Could Deploy Troops to Minneapolis 'Very Quickly', Trump Says

 

Some active-duty US military police officers have reportedly been ordered by the military to prepare to deploy if local authorities request their assistance.

 

The Pentagon has announced an increase of alert status of some US military units in order to potentially support Minnesota which currently struggled with civil unrest.

 

The announcement comes as US President Donald Trump said that the military could "very quickly" deploy troops to Minneapolis to respond to the ongoing protests that were sparked by the death of an African-American man named George Floyd.

 

"We have our military willing, ready and able… We can have our troops on the ground very quickly if they want our military. They are using their National Guard right now," Trump said.

 

One US official said on condition of anonymity that some active-duty military police officers have already been ordered by the military to prepare to deploy if local authorities ask for their help, Reuters notes.

 

The Pentagon further noted that some US military units are now on four-hour recall status, though Minnesota governor apparently hasn't yet sent a request for the support of US military troops.

 

Trump also berated the "radical left", accusing them of staging the riots in question.

 

"These people are antifa, there is a lot of radical left, bad people and they've got to be taught that you cannot do this," he declared

 

Earlier, Trump reportedly asked Secretary of Defence Mark Esper for rapid deployment options in case the situation in Minneapolis goes out of control.

How the Protests Started

 

George Floyd died in police custody after being pinned to the ground and handcuffed by police officers who arrived in response to a call from a grocery store claiming Floyd had tried to pay for his purchase with an allegedly counterfeit banknote.

 

One of the officers involved in the incident had held a knee to the neck of Floyd, who was saying "I can't breathe" multiple times but was ignored by police.

 

A wave of protests erupted in Minneapolis after the footage of the incident went viral, to which police responded with tear gas and non-lethal ammunition, while Minnesota Governor Tim Walz ended up calling in the National Guard to help deal with the unrest.

 

By 30 May, however, Walz said that he didn't have enough troops, and that he is moving to mobilize over a thousand additional National Guard members, for a total of 1,700, adding that he was considering the potential offer of federal military police.

60 detained for looting, 22 arrested after Oakland protests turn violent

Sixty suspected looters were detained in a protest that quickly devolved in Oakland Friday night, as demonstrators smashed windows and set fires inside buildings in a show of outrage about the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

 

It was not the first time downtown Oakland has become a central stage for an anguished national debate about police violence against African Americans. But Friday’s protest flared against the backdrop of a pandemic, a severe economic downturn and collective anxiety from Bay Area residents who have spent weeks pent up in their homes.

 

Oakland police made 18 arrests, according to a preliminary report the department released at 5 a.m. It said that six Oakland officers were injured, along with seven from outside agencies. Those agencies made four additional arrests.

 

One person was cited, and one vehicle was towed, according to the report.

 

The chaotic events coincided with a shooting at the Ronald V. Dellums federal building downtown that left one contract security officer dead, and another wounded. It’s unclear whether the two events are related.

 

Friday’s demonstration began peacefully, as law enforcement tried to β€œprovide safe … and respectful spaces for our demonstrators,” Police Chief Susan Manheimer said in a video posted on Twitter.

 

She then pleaded for protesters who β€œcome to Oakland and stand with us” to refrain from trashing downtown and vandalizing businesses that have suffered since the pandemic began.

 

The city has long been a hub for protests that often leave severe damage on the downtown core and nearby Auto Row. Merchants and city politicians widely perceive the trouble as coming from outside agitators who pour in from other cities.

The fatal encounter began just before 8 p.m., when Floyd entered Cup Foods, a community store run by four brothers, and a store clerk claimed that he had paid for cigarettes with a counterfeit $20 bill. The police got a call from the store at 8:01 p.m.

β€œUm, someone comes our store and give us fake bills, and we realize it before he left the store,” the caller said, according to a transcript released by the authorities, β€œand we ran back outside, they was sitting on their car.”

The store clerk demanded the cigarettes back. β€œBut he doesn’t want to do that, and he’s sitting on his car cause he is awfully drunk and he’s not in control of himself,” the clerk said, according to a transcript of the call to police. β€œHe is not acting right.”

 

Not long after, Angel Stately, a regular customer and former employee, arrived at the store looking for menthol cigarettes. The police were already outside. Stately said the clerk, a teenager, was feeling bad; he had called the police, he told her, only because it was protocol. The clerk held up a folded bill and showed it to her. The bill was an obvious fake, she said. β€œThe ink was still running,” she said. Stately said she saw an officer approach Floyd, with his hand at his gun at his hip.

 

The charging documents say that officers found Floyd in a parked blue car with two passengers. Soon, additional police units arrived and the officers tried to get Floyd into a police vehicle. But he struggled. β€œMr. Floyd did not voluntarily get in the car and struggled with the officers, intentionally falling down, saying he was not going in the car, and refusing to stand still,” according to the charging document.

 

Even before he was placed on the ground under Chauvin’s knee, according to the prosecutors’ account, while standing outside the car, Floyd began saying repeatedly that he could not breathe.

Chauvin tried to place him in the police car with Officer J.A. Kueng’s help.

 

At 8:19, Chauvin pulled Floyd out of the passenger side of the squad car. Floyd hit the ground, face down, handcuffs still on. Kueng held Floyd’s back while Officer Thomas Lane held his legs.

Chauvin lodged his left knee in β€œthe area of Mr. Floyd’s head and neck,” the documents said, and Floyd continued to protest: β€œI can’t breathe,” He said repeatedly. He called for his mother. He said, β€œPlease.” One of the officers dismissed his pleas.

β€œYou are talking fine,” one officer said, according to the charging documents.

 

At least one officer was worried: Lane asked if the officers should roll Floyd over on his side. β€œNo, staying put where we got him,” Chauvin replied. β€œI am worried about excited delirium or whatever,” Lane said. β€œThat’s why we have him on his stomach,” Chauvin responded.

 

At 8:24 p.m., Floyd stopped moving.

Kueng checked Floyd’s right wrist for a pulse. β€œI couldn’t find one,” he said.

 

At 8:27 p.m., eight minutes and 46 seconds after he had lowered himself onto Floyd’s neck, Chauvin finally released his knee.

The medical examiner’s office listed the time of death as 9:25 p.m.

Had been writing right before that: cumulus clouds are the only current launch constraint that's no-go, and that is expected to clear between 18:30-18:40 (probably UT which would be 2:30-2:40 pm ET) - which is just about now - so favorable signs on the weather. Also being watched is whether there are any new lightning strikes near the ascent trajectory, but right now that is green.
