What really sucks is being the kind of reader that halfway through the book reads the end, just to make sure the good guys win, but in this case, we can't read the end so we can sit comfy through the rest of the trials and tribulations to get to the end.
Conversely, just glancing at the ending tells me whether or not I should continue suffering through the trials and tribulation to the end or just put the fucking book down and go get a good Louis L'Amour to get comfy and forget about this crap for a while.
