If there is a cognitive dissonance campaign in effect, why?

What are they prepping us for?

Or is it simply just not meant for us…? Meant for the Carl & Karen public…?

I'm sure that there are more examples - -those are just the few that popped in my head.

Is it to acclimate us to psychological discomfort for some event that is about to come that dwarfs the current mental discomfort that we are experiencing?

If so, then it stands to reason, that the cognitive dissonance will continue - and will crescendo; again, to what end?

I'm convinced it's not a coincidence; there are far too many examples from both sides of the aisle (although the LEFT tends to focus more on simple FEAR PORN).

I call it the tenureship rule.

Professors only get tenureship if they publish.

They only get published if they write something "new" and provocative…otherwise, they are left with actually solving a really difficult problem - well beyond the average adjuncts intellectual capabilities.

So, they are left with coming up with a provocative thesis, some relatively benign variant on the truth. The deviation is so minute, nobody gives a shit - it's tantamount to counting angels on a pin head.

But then over time, that minuscule encroachment on the truth is magnified because some other adjunct in a University far far away wants to get laid and his best bet is tenureship. So, he writes some variant not based on TRUTH, but what adjunct #1 wrote.

Now we are 2 steps, regardless of how minuscule, away from the TRUTH.

Over time, this magnifies itself in academia and ART.

And thus - this is how you get this shit.
