Baker, if you use anonbin you don't need to sign up. Just make a new paste saying 'first paste' or anything, put a name/number/anything in the name field and a password - and save.

That's you got your own anonbin you can use to verify it's you (include the handoff request post in a new paste of yours and pass it to the baker), and pass the dough along.

Use your name / pass each time, and everyone will know you're not a 'fly-by dough changer'

It's much better than pastebin to use when baking, but if you've history on your pastebin..

You could always connect them together by doing something like -

  • Write something in an anonbin with your user / pass

  • Right afterwards, copy the same into a pastebin.com paste. No one could have done that but you. Then post them both. Something like that, until your anonbin gets a few in it.

I'll show you how to verify yourself properly.

  • So baker requests handoff

  • I copy the text of that post and paste it into pastebin or anonbin (both logged in - important)

  • I respond to the baker's h/o post with an offer, and add my verification paste link I've just made.

If you're looking to get a few pastes in your name first, to get you started, bakers will always 'spot' you if they can, meaning stay around while you bake, if you ask for that. It's a good way to get going.

You're verifying which baker you are to the baker handing off just. You just do this at the start, when a handoff's offered.

By that the baker will look at the link, see who it is and that you're a genuine baker with bakes listed. We are a small team (wish it was bigger), so we all know each other's paste names. Bakers will get to know your quickly.

We do a bake class every week over at /comms/. You could ask and get the answers to any questions there. Bakers are happy to support you, it helps if they know you (due to what's been happening). It'd be good to see you there. I'm there every week if you want to swing in any time. 7 - 10pm
