Hello, I am vetanon, a homeless disabled veteran of the AirGuard (ONE/OEF).

I am disabled, both mentally and physically, from service connected disabilities I obtained in Iraq.

I have difficulty breathing.

I have Allergies.

I have Asthma.

I have Gulf War Syndrome from the burn pits in Iraq that compound the above.

I have learning disabilities, and have PTSD from combat in Iraq, and near death experiences from breathing attacks. I can not describe to you what it is like to lose control of my mind and body as my nose clogs up and my lungs close up and I am unable to breath normally as my vision fades away from me and I can no longer even feel my own limbs.

This has put me in the ER several times. (at considerable expense to the government)

Because of you I am bullied every time I walk into an establishment, and demands are put on me that I put my life into mortal danger.

I can not even use the bathroom or buy food in most of washington now.

I had to drive to Oregon just so that I could eat tonight.

I cannot survive on fast food drive through junk, it is literally making me ill, but no one else in the state wants to sell to me. Because of your guidance I am assaulted when I walk through the door. I am being yelled at and threatened for trying to stand up for my right to eat and live, like everyone else.

The official washington guidelines and CDC policy, as well as my own doctor tell me not to wear a mask. However the state's implementation (as opposed to the way the counties handled it), does not make clear to businesses the health exemptions, and it is not being enforced at all. I have been unable to work because of this and now the department of commerce has had to reassign me to the labor pool and hold me with no hours because of the risk to my life from your implementation of these policies! I am a field worker and work and live in the public.

What kind of reasonable accommodation is it to tell me to go off into the woods with no work and starve to death? There aren't any other options left to me!

I have already tried working directly with the businesses, and counties but am continually informed this is all beyond their control. I tried the covid hotline all day but just got hung up on when they eventually called me back.

Any person or persons, firm or corporation, or the agent of any person or persons, firm or corporation, who denies or interferes with admittance to or enjoyment of the public facilities enumerated in RCW 70.84.010, or otherwise interferes with the rights of a totally or partially blind, hearing impaired, or otherwise physically disabled person as set forth in RCW 70.84.010 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

The legislature declares:

In addition to the above formal complaints I have contacted legal council for guidance. I gave testimony for an ongoing class action suit, and interviewed for use in media outreach for the legal firm.

They won their suit against the county a few days ago, but the state moved the policy enforcement through L&I & business regulations!? who won't even talk to us the public on this subject, because they are not set up to handle this at all. The county health official are trying to help me. The feds blow me off, I'm fighting the state in the middle.

as far as i know I'm the first standing up and fighting back out here. I have a nice set of disabilities that really put me in the way of inslee's draconia lockdown. I live out of my car and can't avoid the public. I think all the rest are hunkered down in tents/shelters/homes, but i refuse to give up my mobility. my life is travel, I can't give that up, or I'm not me any more & then what is the point? I won't give up on life and sub com to drug abuse… Where do you think I could find others like myself? The lawyer told me we aren't that useful for the class action claim, because of the direction they are attacking it from, but they are keeping our info if they decide to raise different legal challenges.

Other than freedom foundation, do you know of anyone else fighting this and taking clients?

That's basically what the lawyer said. They are taking ton of testimony from anyone effected (not just vets, and most people are just claiming 'free speech') I guess at the current state the 'how' isn't so important to the case, just 'how many' but the situation is constantly developing. that could change. They only have a handful in the class, and he said that is all they need to cover the legal cases, any more on the suit just complicates things at this point. they just reference the counts they have of effected people as a side note, and use the class as a representative of the whole population since its a 1st amendment case, and that has been their strongest way to win cases in the past, is with the first amendment. Apparently its the strongest one, as number 1.
