Here’s an idea:

Why not have shock probes built into handcuffs so that when someone who breaks the law is handcuffed, they can’t flee or resist arrest because they would get a non-lethal shock. The officer wouldn’t have to chase after the bad guy he could just press a button on a remote. This would prevent a lot of the situations you see on news where things get out of hand.
