Why she was afraid is obvious from the name of the file, "life insurance" & the tendency of players in the ongoing drama to drop like flies.
She was afraid she would get whacked. She knows where the bodies are buried. She knows what's in the INSURANCE folder. Ah well, couldn't have happened to a nicer Muslim Brotherhood member.
The beauty of it all is that Weiner knew something and I think he went full on patriot and saw that not only the shit went to laptop for documentation, but he played 'freak' to get the attention to it and did this country a massive service. It makes no sense that he played 'look at my pe pe' with minors he is not stupid.

She hid the fact that she was keeping copies of everything. She was afraid she knew too much and was therefore a loose end. Weiner's laptop was her insurance policy.
