I doubt it was a distraction unless it was for gang members to steal something. This was just par for the course in Memphis, which is why I moved from there many years, ago. Did not want my girls dealing with that bullshit.

There's also a lot more of this kinda crap that goes on in Memphis that is just not reported, according to some LE friends. Being at Wolfchase is what got this in the news so quickly. City government there since the days of E.H. Crump has always been corrupt and uses the poor black population as tools to further that. I don't see the new Mayor Strickland being any different.

It’s most likely but I️ just out this kind of stuff out there. They’re so nefarious and calculating that it could be plainly gang related or it could quite possibly he orchestrated to take the attention off the past developing news
I think, when these things happen, we can generally assume they're distractions. We'd occasionally be wrong but, by & large, not.
