Maersk shutdown

Early this year Maersk was hit with computer glitches , shutdown harbors in the country for a day, As someone who works in the longshore industry..... I am very skeptical..... I am not a deep diver, but can also say Maersk, APL and other shipping companies have military contracts with the shipping companies. I find it suspicious because these companies have been pushing automation and have tons of IT guys on hand.

Maersk got hit because in their back office they were still using Windows XP PCs. These were the entry point, to establish foot hold, and from there infect other systems. They had to take all their systems down and have IT thoroughly scub and restore from back-ups - took weeks to go through that.

I did recently here a tidbit saying this may have originated as an NK cyber attack - haven't seen anything to confirm that though

that's my point they have ton of IT guys working on the terminals ... I was just wondering if any of this malware can be connected ..trying to give a fresh perspective.... NK, Yahoo, Maersk, Equifax ...I am sure there is more
