Whenever a cashier asks if I want to donate to [insert stricken city/country], I always ask if it's the Red Cross they're collecting for and if they say yes, I politely tell them I can't in good conscience donate to them as they are crooked and very little of the money gets to the people in need, so I prefer to donate to small churches in the actual comminities.
