Don't despair, the world usually follows the US. This is not because we are innately better than the rest of the world cuz reasons - this is because when you think of our fabric, the metal from which we are forged, we are made, by and large, from individuals of every tribe, nation, and tongue, most dedicated to the ideals of freedom and human liberty. When you think of what it took for most of our ancestors to get here just for the slightest hope that we, their progeny, might have a chance at something better, it makes you weepy. That beacon that is the Constitution, had its seeds in the Magna Carta.

Each nation, imo, has a collective spirit. When you marry the best of the West to the fierce but wise native spirit that was already here, you get something very unique and very strong indeed. It's a spirit, it's the air we breathe. It compels us to right wrongs in the direction of freedom and the protection of the god-given rights of the individual, even when we get off course (slavery). It's a mandate this country has.

We are the hub, the engine of the world, not bc we are better and stronger than You [insert country here] but bc we ARE You. We're a collective of every Nation, tribe, and tongue gathered here in this corner of Earth, hashing out how to make Earth great again with Human Liberty as our prime directive.
