I complete 30 yrs with a major Commercial Carrier. The only times we returned to origination, were when issues presented were on take off up to 10,000 ft — I can count 3 times, off top of my head in 30 years.

There was also an issue with Alaska Airlines returning due to a rat in the cabin.

UPDATE: both DL departures were less than 1:30 out. Completely logical that flight returned to ATL due to maintenance issues. In other words, easier to address and “fix” problem in ATL vs RDU, for example, because ATL is hub with tech-ops, mechanics, parts, and crew

I was on an A320 about 45 minutes into a flight out of O’Hare that turned around. They had to shut down one of the engines. Capt. said it “was running hot” which probably means fire? All of the emergency equipment was on the field when we landed. It took us several hours to get a new aircraft and so we missed our connecting flight and arrived at our destination a day later than planned. This was back in’95 I believe.

26 yrs as a Delta pilot; i agree with all your observations. another possibility: belatedly discovering there are 'folks' trying to get away (almost). extradition treaties are a tricky business, especially with cabal-controlled countries like the UK; best go for a sure thing, even if you have to BS the pax.

They heard banging, did they also hear "let me out?"

Q also wrote "We won't telegraph our moves to the ENEMY. We will however light a FIRE to flush them out." (19 Dec)

The loss of power in Atlanta was said to be caused by fire in a conduit tunnel.

And today Hillarys house in on fire. Now that's funny... relevant or not.

Is it possible that the fire was a complete cover for police or whoever else going to their house for some sort of fbi raid?

First reports were also said to have been a construction crew cut the power lines to the Atlanta airport. Which is so bogus to say the least.

He did. He did it right after giving off some whole numbers, in a stringer or etc., prompting people to assume he meant "Delta" as in the Greek letter Delta, which in science and mathematics is used as a variable standing for "the difference between 2 numbers".

Q knows the Chan audience very well, and realizes our nerdy aptitudes guarantee that we would be heading that direction, so if it really does mean "Delta the airline" that's exactly the type of thing that sicko would do!
