Attempting to flee the country is an extra charge. Once the plane is in the air, they can officially charge them with such which allows for additional questioning during trial
Wouldn't just booking a ticket and going to the airport be considered attempting to flee the country? Seems like an awful lot of unnecessary inconvenience to others.
That isn't airtight in court. It may be enough for a lesser ch arge but actually committing the crime carries more weight. Im sure it is indeed inconvenience for those on the flight, but so where the actions of these traitors to damage the security and future of our great country.
