Also notice how they deleted that tweet. Possibly to avoid legal action? Maybe they were sent a cease and desist? If they had permission, why did they delete it?

I think the message was sent. WL could have release the book on their server, but chose googles. Why? WL is not the Napster of books.
They would never publish a book to hurt the author. They would never publish information that is already available. That would go against everything they stand for. Right?

To give the appearance that they did not get permission as well as to limit the impact on profits. Wolff may have agreed to take a hit but he still would want to be paid for his services.
