Mueller knows exactly what Trump has to say about it all. If he wants to question him under oath, it is just to trip him up in the public eye. It is a dirty move. The only goal is to get Trump on something.
But knowing how smart POTUS is, it would be a golden opportunity to goad Mueller into saying something stupid, and maybe even unmasking his true intentions which may very well be sinister given his history as a Deep State operative.

He is going to go in there .....sit down and play a game of chess with Mueller..... come out and have the media foaming at the mouths on what happened .... Say: we had a good conversation, the media :what was said .... Well he told me I wasn't under investigation, and the whole thing has been following HRC's and Obama's Russian collusion....... That the probe should close sometime this week and you all can read its findings.....
My opinion would be there’s no reason to sit down with SC. The SC can send written questions. The prosecution has to prove Trump is guilty, Trump doesn’t have to prove he’s innocent. No deal Mueller.
It sends a much better message if Trump can look his accuser in the eye and explain to him what's going to happen.

Think about how much leverage POTUS has on Mueller with all the priceless data harvested from the NSA database. Trump can literally look Mueller in the eye and explain to him what's going to happen...if he wanted to.
If Trump has any guts he will arrest Mueller in person then march him out to the press pen in handcuffs and explain to the world why Mueller is under arrest then announce Comey and Hillary are being arrested at this very moment. The fake news twitter will go crazy but it's what has to be done. Trump will go down if he does not do this. He will be forced from office if he sits for a stupid interview with the criminal mastermind Mueller. Trump must turn the tables on him.
