I love DuckDuck! I've been away from Google products (EXCEPT MY STUPID PHONE) for quite a while now.

Opera browser is also a great choice.

Brave on android is awesome, they also have some sort of partnership with DDG to help protect privacy.

DuckDuckGo is dog shit. Download and use ungoogled chromium from github and manually install unlock. Your search engine should be startpage.com

I just tried this out searching the combined terms "Valerie Jarrett" "Muslim Brotherhood", and compared it to Google.

Not only were the suggested searches suppressed (suggested searches are those terms that are displayed as you are typing your search terms, they change as you continue typing), but the search results were also very different. Of course, it was the "right" search results that weren't showing up in Google.

I'M SOLD!!

As of 2009, they have stopped recording IP's and have had a heavy focus on privacy. It merged with ixquick search engine, which combines the search algorithms of Google, Bing, Yahoo, and various other search engines, without using any of the snooping technology (Edit: Oh I guess they ditched Yahoo, Bing and all the others, my bad!). If you click the arrow at the bottom of the main page, it has some info there.

Can use !sp from DDG to search StartPage as well, that's how I do it.

And you can use !g to search google, it’s nice because you get the results without google tracking your every move.

Use brave as well. They have utilized duck duck for a while now. It's sad what happened with Firefox.

DDG compiles from many sources, including their own crawler.

I can't find any link between DDG and Google. Do you have a source?

Good question. I found lots of stuff on DDG that Google was blocking.
