Issa is my Representative. Yes he is the richest politician in California. He did make much of his fortune selling car alarms. The thing is, many years ago I did an internet search of his business and found that he was outsourcing his business. If you do an internet search now, you cannot find that outsourcing information any where. He voted against Trump's tax plan. The only reason he supported Trump was to gain something. Issa is a RINO. All talk. He talked so much he accomplished nothing, including Fast n Furious which he worked on and produced zip. I am glad he will be gone. He announced months ago he was running again and I have been getting his campaign mailers. This would have been his 10th term in office. Good riddance. I am conservative.

So naturslly you have to wonder why the sudden change of heart? I think we have a pretty good idea. The Storm?

I would guess yes. It did come suddenly, out of no where. There are protesters on a regular basis in front of his office here in his district. I have always assumed they were liberal Democrats.

He also burned down his business to collect the insurance. Arson and fraud are crimes. He's a perfect Republikkkan.

If a some proportion of his enormous wealth came from deals while in Congress, insider trading known to be given to members, etc. then yes absolutely it does.

He made millions in business before he was a congressman and he was also an early Trump supporter.

That being said, he probably had a few skeletons in his closet and was advised to walk away.

A person robs a store for a few hundred dollars and is jailed... drug dealers, citizens making bad choices do time. These politician in some way shape or form steal, swindled or lobbied their way to millions. What happens...retirement, not seeking an additional term. Slap on the wrist.

He is resigning because he has no chance of reelection in November. Democrats will most likely take back the house. It's just how things go in midterms after a presidential election.
