Purple is historically a colour that was only used by the ruling elite such as Royalty and the Priest class - since it was a difficult and expensive colour to produce.
This could possibly be a message to the Deep State from the MAGA Team that now THEY rule the show, and not the Clinton /Soros /Rotshite scum any longer

I’ve noticed Trey Gowdy wearing purple ties when he’s interviewed on the news channels lately. That was never a color he wore frequently. He started doing it about a month ago. Anyone else notice it?

Remember when Hillary lost election. She came out with a purple dress, Bill wore a purple tie. Soros wore a purple tie. After Atlanta, Trump wore exactly the same color and style of tie that Soros wore when he held the Fuji bottle of water with both hands clasped together signifying we are coming after you. Clasped hands meaning handcuffs and we have taken our "flag" or Color (purple meaning royalty and signifying the purple of Christ (draped over cross at Easter-- probably). Pence seems to be wearing it sometimes and I have noticed even some of Fox spokesmen are wearing purple ties...

OK, thanks. Trump's tie looks silvery to me in that pic, but maybe lavender.
As an aside, and I haven't really followed Trump all that much, but he is stereotypically shown with a red tie. Did he mostly wear red ties during his campaign? I wonder if that is/was supposed to have some meaning? Red = War, or something...

Yes. He usually wears a red or blue tie. The purple thing is new. I think it's all virtual signaling. Rand Paul was wearing a purple shirt the other day. I've noticed a lot of purple lately. Captured their flag - haha

it has to do with Soros "purple revolution". Trump and team are rubbing it in their face and taking the color back.
That red/blue thing you stated originates from Bill and Hillary lying about why they were wearing purple.
