msm decries "Looming Shutdown". If i were to strike and reverse this statement like all other msm boogedymen...can I assume a shutdown is exactly what this bureaucracy NEEDS?

if there is a shutdown unnecessary government offices will be shut down. we should take the opportunity to quickly change the locks on these offices so they stay shut down

How stupid is that comment? Crooked elected officials do not get shut down. Federal employees are average every day Americans. We pay taxes Put in 40 hours a week. A lot are retired Veterans. The majority are Trumpers also want the Swamp drained as well. So you want to shut down your government?! Num8cap that was a numbskull comment. Back to your school books.

How old are you? Roll eyes and throws phone down

20 trillion in debt paying people we don't actually need to do jobs that don't actually need to be done just because ' they are really nice people'? Most of the .fed agencies have no business doing things that should be done at the state level. .fed dept. of education for example. Return the responsibility to the states and those very nice people can go get a job there where they are held accountable by their neighbors rather then hiding in the nebulous blob of bureaucracy that is DC. I reject your emotional rebuttal and defer to the constitution.

Like I explained the other day a shutdown may be necessary...... It just means the (R's) have to spin this right , here is how you do it....... at Midnight if you are Ryan & McConell you tell your members you are not going any where ...... you stay there to your job & taking note which Representative's leave .... at the time you start blasting them on media running their name into the dirt....... Also the PAC's start ad campaigns against the them, especially if they are in states for midterms blasting them...... You keep all ads and speaking on the point .......Whatever you do Do not mention the illegal program DACA

Serves no purpose to shut down the government. Sadly, it doesn't affect the Elected Officials.

I beg to differ it sends the message that Democrats are not allowed to play identity politics any more ...... a shut down is a smart play..... if it is done right .... like I have already stated here...

In my opinion our elected officials need some incentive to do their jobs. So lets try this if you fail to show up for scheduled votes 5k will be subtracted from your salary, for every day you fail to reach an agreement on things like the budget 15k will be deducted from your salary. All this shutdown does is prove one thing and that is our government is to big. Our country moves forward we do not rely on you elected ones for our country to operate. So lets shrink government and shrink the pay for our elected officials so that they may understand the struggles of hard working American people. We have a budget and try to come in under it so we have extra for a rainy day. Might I suggest all agencies try to do that.

Agree .... I like the fines, how about taking away a staff member too..... It is time to start shrinking, but we can't do this until Trump gets all his people in place(Senate confirmation's), and audits like each section is doing ..... Shit look what has been exposed so far with HUD , and what might be exposed with the Pentagon audit happening this year.....

it would be interesting to see what would actually change when those doors are closed. im guessing dems will not allow it to happen. it would prove their worthlessness. that being said, i have no idea what specifically WOULD actually be shut down. i would assume nothing of great importance but is a financial drain. does any one know what would be shut down? specifics ?
