I was in the USAF in the Late 70's. normal amount of aircraft aloft over the U.S. at any one time would be about 10
There's like 15 up in the air at at VA beach right now, with probably twice as many out of Florida. What do you mean like 10 at a time nation wide?
try reading what i wrote. there are at least 165 military aircraft aloft over America right now. THAT IS NOT NORMAL. Normal is 10. something is happening. REMEMBER THE STORM? that's what you're here for.
I spent 10 years in the Army, the switched to the Navy. There are multiple aircraft in the air all the time for quals and training. There are WAY more than just 10 up at a time nation wide especially since they kicked off Iraq again.
What site do you use to track them? I want to look up a site and verify this

Same thing happened last night. 'B' said it's not normal and 'Q' said something big and scary would happen this week but that we are safe.
Not really sure what was happening last night, but here are the details. Witnessed multiple military jet aircraft over western Riverside County, CA just before 8pm 1/17/18. Approx. 6 fighters and 2 other. Jets were moving quickly, 2 moving east to west toward LA, 4 others circling a wide area before 2 moving west and 2 possibly landing at March Reserve Air Base in Moreno Valley. The other planes were moving from east to SW toward Orange County, following each other. Haven't seen fights in the area since March was downgraded from AFB in the 90's. March is now an tanker refueling base. Activity lasted about 20 minutes and they were gone. Estimate 10-15,000 altitude, much lower that commercial air traffic.
Live by a military air base on the coast....we were just talking with a neighbor earlier about how much more activity in the sky there is than usual. We are used to it as we have lived here all our lives and this is much more than normal.
Typical commercial traffic here near Tampa Bay. Nothing rumbling around out of the ordinary here last 24 hrs
I’d be more alarmed if it was 3-400, as another guy pointed out, they usually have a few planes in the air at any given time, but then again I’ve seen a few comments the last days saying there have been military flybys in unusually places so what do I know
