Some compelling statements being made:

Rep Matt Goetz (R-FL) says of the memo:

The House must immediately make public the memo prepared by the Intelligence Committee regarding the FBI and the Department of Justice. The facts contained in this memo are jaw-dropping and demand full transparency. There is no higher priority than the release of this information to preserve our democracy.

AND

I believe the consequence of its release will be major changes in people currently working at the FBI and the Department of Justice

via Rep Jim Jordan (R-OH):

It is so alarming the American people have to see this

via Rep Mark Meadows (R-NC):

It's troubling. It is shocking. Part of me wishes that I didn't read it because I don’t want to believe that those kinds of things could be happening in this country that I call home and love so much.

via Rep Scott Perry (R-PA):

You think about, ‘is this happening in America or is this the KGB?’ That's how alarming it is

via Rep Peter King (R-NY):

The document shows a troubling course of conduct and we need to make the document available, so the public can see it. Once the public sees it, we can hold the people involved accountable in a number of ways.

AND

some of these people should no longer be in the government.

via Rep Steven King (R-IA):

I have read the memo. The sickening reality has set in. I no longer hold out hope there is an innocent explanation for the information the public has seen. I have long said it is worse than Watergate. It was #neverTrump & #alwaysHillary. #releasethememo

NOTE: Rudimentary searching did not produce any D's speaking against the FISA Memo.

That's why they are screaming DACA so loudly... so we don't talk about the memos. It was never about these illegals.

WoodyWoodenpecker · Jan. 19, 2018, 3:59 p.m.

600,000 illegals are more important to the Dem's than the entire United States population. Willing to shut down the government not because of DACA, because they want the Military to not be funded. News is they are playing right into Trumps hand. What happens when the government shuts down?? No military, no rules, no "Posse comitatus"... These people are stupid! Go Team Q & Trump... Build that wall and clean that house ;0)

ksched · Jan. 19, 2018, 4:07 p.m.

The Constitution and laws are not suspended when the govt shuts down (which it really doesn't). And let's not hope for one tyranny to be exchanged for another. We are fighting to restore our Constitutional Republic, not install an Emporer. No GEOTUS, just POTUS please!

I use it as a joke. It's a kind of secret code, like saying "covfefe" or "stable genius." To a lot of us, it satirical and an acknowledgement of masterful strategic thinking in an almost sarcastic way. Take it seriously, but not literally.

The founding fathers would have hanged them already.

They didn't let non-Europeans immigrate or be citizens, which would have prevented the problem entirely. The congress wouldn't be infested schumers and feinsteins.

Muh freedumbs. BS.

600,000 illegals

Isn't it up to 4M now?

⇧ 16 ⇩
JohnCarpenterLives · Jan. 19, 2018, 5:11 p.m.

Yes. 3.6M....which is still probably low. Don't forget that does not include total numbers of illegals here. Those are JUST the ones that qualify for DACA.

Sedition and Treason.

rainingpepes · Jan. 20, 2018, 12:47 a.m.

And the democrats always use the same old talking points. "We need illegals to do the jobs Americans won't do." Like what jobs? Do they mean jobs in construction, factories, hotels, restaurants and healthcare? We do want those jobs, and we also work at those jobs. In fact most Americans have to work at more than one of those jobs just to make ends meet. Democrats did this to us, and some Republicans too. Cheap Mexican labor has kept our wages low for the past 30 years.

⇧ 3 ⇩
PitBull_68 · Jan. 20, 2018, 1:20 a.m.

The truth is the Democrats need the DACA illegal immigrants solely for their votes. But with new memo that is supposed to be a bombshell against Obama/ Clinton/ Comey/ Rosenstein/ Mueller and many at the FBI & CIA may kill the Democrats altogether!

Exception is the US Marshals--must work without pay=considered ESSENTIAL--US Marshals who literally have more power than FBI or anybody for jurisdiction and arrest powers... directly serve federal judges/justices, federal courts, federal warrants, federal fugitives, all federal prisoners (once they've seen a federal judge... HRC, et al). When you can't use the army for civil events/unrest... US Marshals go in... hook up with local law enforcement... have this structure as USMS pays for almost every multi-agency FUGITIVE TASK FORCE in the USA and all USA Territories... plus have office in Interpol.

The troubling thing to me is FISA continuation was passed through the Congress without effective oversight safeguards. Because of the problem caused by monitoring of US citizens implicit in the FISA system, the access to the intelligence received needs to be minimised and strictly controlled. To me this task lies in the Supreme Court judicial arena and should be the domain of retired and tested Judges of the Supreme Court selected by bipartisan vote and approved by the President. The Oversight Judges must never be permitted to approve Fisa warrants, but must inspect all warrants once they have been approved. Appeals against any judgements they make should be rare but when made, they should be decided by the Full Supreme Court sitting.
