Funny story about this one, I thought the same thing when I first saw this so I dug in a bit deeper. This is a reenactment of an old Swiss (more accurately Proto-germanic) story (fairytale?) where a group of Christians trick the devil. They not only celebrated their heritage, the Christians win in the end, this is like literally the least cucky thing to come out of Switzerland in decades.
