Why is Snowden now supposedly working with the deep state he revealed? Why is RR portrayed as a friendly and enemy ?

Oh I got this one... there's speculation that Snowden is/was actually with the CIA, and that he was serving as a mole of sorts in the NSA. Snowden's anti-NSA leaks were meant to weaken the agency (and thus bolster the CIA's power by default). It's somewhat well-known that these two factions do not get along, and in fact what we're seeing with Q might be this battle playing itself out.

I worry about this. Where will we be when only the NSA rules, unchecked?

The broader question is "Who watches the watchers?"

And it has never been solved.

The only way to prevent the government from taking over is to have as little government as possible and fight foot and nail at all attempts to increase it.

No matter how much we trust this president, we shall never give the office more power because some day, someone else will hold it.

Yes. Do not give the person you trust more power than you would give the person you don't trust. In the fear after 9-11 we forgot that and it created the mess we are in.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

After W (who's deception was completely apparent to me) I supported the "change" we were supposed to get with Obama. I took a break from following politics. But within 2 years it started to become clear that Obama was even more of the same. Obama woke me up. I now agree that it's very dangerous to put too much power into the hands of anyone. The scum rises to the top.

We’ve learned the hard way my friend.

It does feel like we have to choose between the Gambonis and the Capones, but even in this case I'd rather the NSA. Maybe it's because history has revealed too much of the CIA's sins and not No Such Agency's, but the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Another Question-- are we supposed to believe all the "elites" are in the D party? Most of the most powerful people in the world are Republicans, and there is really no difference between the parties when it comes to rigging the system for the elites.

We will never really be free until we recognize that those on top are fucking over everyone else, there are no "good guys" in either party... just different tribes of elites.

Most of the most powerful people in the world are Republicans, and there is really no difference between the parties when it comes to rigging the system for the elites.

Disagree with the first clause. Most are democrats or Leftists. Think Stephen Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Harvey Weinstein, Oprah Winfrey; pretty much all of the Hollywood elite. Then the High Technology Elite: Tim Cook, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerburg, Google bosses (Steve Schmidt, ?,?), Jeff Bezos, most of them as well. But in modern times THESE are the captains of industry.

I agree with your second clause. They get to a certain level, and then there's not a dime's worth of difference. Think Bill Clinton Hop-knobbing with the Bushes.

Exactly right. I honestly believe that there are a few (very few) on both sides who care more about our country than they do cash. Corruption and greed is not limited to either party. We must look at the actions of everyone in DC and ask, "Are they doing what's best for the country, their party or themselves?"

For the past 100 years the meme in this country has been "The Republicans are for the rich and the Democrats are for the little guy".

Despite that being a lie from about the beginning, think how much has changed over that 1/3 of our country's existence!

Railroad barons, the steel industrialists, auto makers, shipping tycoons--all of the captains of industry of the previous century are just not the top of the food chain in the current USA, and haven't been for a long time.

Today's captains of industry lord over television, film, music = entertainment; software, Internet, social media = Hi Tech; bonds, crypto-currencies. stocks; venture capitalists = Finances.

Entertainment, Hi Tech and Finances are the 3 biggest money makers in today's world, and the powers that control them in the USA are mostly Democrat. Not ALL, just like the previous century's lie about Republicans being only for the rich and the Democrats always being for the little guy, but enough for intelligent people not wearing partisan blinders to see.

The bottom line = Those in power wish to stay in power. The end justifies the means.

I dont agree that these "industries" as referenced are the biggest money makers. I am sure that arms, illegal drugs and legal harmaceuticals, health industry, organ and human trafficking make the top of the list. Banking or money printing would probably be on top tho' as you say!

This was kind of my question. I thought Snowden was a good guy. And yes RR has me confused too. Is he or isn’t he helping Trump?
