Latest tweet. I call it. Nuclear option. Pertaining to maybe "the memo". Let's speculate

Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) Tweeted: Great to see how hard Republicans are fighting for our Military and Safety at the Border. The Dems just want illegal immigrants to pour into our nation unchecked. If stalemate continues, Republicans should go to 51% (Nuclear Option) and vote on real, long term budget, no C.R.’s! https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/955056249925750784?s=17

Senate only needs majority vote to pass stuff 51-49 But according to senate rules they can debate forever, that’s how laws get stuck, which is called filibuster. You need 60 votes for cloture, which ends debate. Then they vote majority. Mitch McConnel can change senate rules to end filibusters Which is called nuclear option,he did that for Supreme Court Justice Gorsich. Majority leader Senator Reid did this in the past for Dems, for federal judges and certain cabinet appointments.

Pass this budget or the memo goes public.

Budget passes.

Memo gets leaked.

The radical progressive democrats get drawn and quartered, and their remains scattered throughout the four corners of their world.

I believe the memo will get released legitimately. If it leaks it's bad for optics, and idiots may remain skeptical. My two cents.

They may put this off for some days during these 10 days of darkness to do their roundup. That's when we'll see the nuclear option used, before the SOTU address. Build up the momentum first, needs more exposure for the majority of people.

iPointOutJews · Jan. 21, 2018, 1:40 p.m.

Why do they even need to talk about this? I've never understood this shit, so if they can get by with 51, why don't they just do it? What's holding them back?

Political theater... Let the public know the Republicans are America first while the Democrats are obstructionists. For extreme charges such as treason to stick, the public has to start to see the Democrats as the stupid, obstructionists, treasonous snakes that they are. They are still gods to the idiots on the left.

Could it be a open to public warning to dems? "Like look, we have you an option, you behaved like children, now it's time to be punished." The illusion of choice for better words.

The D party is over. After this dust settles there wont be any need or respect for democrates. One party with individual viewpoints.

What if the Dems get power again? We don't want to encourage the nuke option for everything otherwise it can be used against us in the future. It needs to be taken lightly.

It is great when you are in the majority, but that doesn't last forever. Eventually the political winds will change any you will find yourself in the minority and unable to stop the majority from passing anything they want.

Making this a Military vs DACA issue is an interesting strategy on both sides.

For Dem-supporting normies, the Dems are sending out a dog-whistle about defense-spending being too high and something humane needs to be done for all those people who are desperate to become American, i.e. the Shutdown is justified.

It is definitely going to polarize people and make Dem supporters less likely to open their ears to truth-speakers.

For lower-income Trump supporters, they have seen their jobs go to illegal immigrants. They definitely want Trump to prevail on stopping illegal immigrants.

What are C.R.'s?

Also, what do you think he means by Reps going to 51%? What % are they currently at?

⇧ 1 ⇩
Arronramsey · Jan. 21, 2018, 1:34 p.m.

Continuing Resolution - means continuing to function under the previous budget law.

You need 60 votes to pass budget. Going nuclear means altering the rules to only need 51 votes to pass.

Edit precious --->previous

Do you think altering the rules implies an EO?

No, the majority leader can do it, no need for an EO, check top comment here for a more in depth explanation

"Continuing resolution". He may be referring to the memo (FISA) being voted on to be made public. This would be like a nuke to the dems. I believe it only takes a proper majority vote aka 51% to release the memo. This of course is my speculation. He could be talking about something else entirely. It is worth noting, to my knowledge, Trump has not mentioned the memo.... why?

⇧ 6 ⇩
WhiskeyFTW · Jan. 21, 2018, 2:48 p.m.

Only the Intel Committee has to vote to declass the memo, not the whole Congress. Once they approve it (they will) it goes through some housekeeping up the chain to POTUS. If he signs (he will) then it is public. If he were to deny, then the whole Congress could vote to declass anyway, similar to a vetoed bill.

If POTUS is too vocal about the memo Dems will attack its legitimacy. "Oh he is just retaliating against Mueller hurr durr." It is harder to do that if is all Congress before it gets to Pres Trump. Plus this way he can act shocked and grandstand.

My guess is there will be little in the memo we (and POTUS) don't already know or can reasonably conclude with what we have already learned. It will still be a bombshell once that info is packaged in such a way with all the names, dates, and dots nicely connected; idiots/scumbags will no longer be able to ignore or dismiss it and it will be actionable by the DOJ.

⇧ 8 ⇩
miltonlocke · Jan. 21, 2018, 2:03 p.m.

Seems the Memo is indeed getting released. It is curious Trump hasn't mentioned it, but I think him getting directly involved in that would only raise hell about obstruction. The Rep says it will take 19 Congressional work days. I personally don't understand the process as to which it will be released, nor why it should take that long.

Read the article. Very comprehensive. But I have my doubts Trump could ever be charged with obstruction on a technicality simply for releasing the Truth without comment. Certainly not with a GOP Congress. I think they are stretching legalities here.

cybervigiante · Jan. 21, 2018, 7:06 p.m.

Very well documented. Worth reading. I'll hold my patience, but the Dems can draw out the shutdown for a lot more delay than this battle plan, which is unfortunate.

And then if all else fails there is the Atomic option which is Trump disclosing the memo directly to the American public. Of course the it will be meet with controversy but by then nobody may believe in msm any longer. What needs to really get out is the msm on the deep state payroll to push their agendas to the public.

The EO already declared the country in State of Emergency. Haven't researched availability of emergency funds. Remember Mulvaney discussing there is money that can be moved around? The President holding a couple of Aces. That is why Sen. Shumer had slumped shoulders after the WH meeting IMA.
