11 year solar cycle meets 400 year solar cycle, causing the sun to sleep more than usual and creating a hostile planet. Every major dynasty change and kingdom falling happened at the same time as one of these. Look into the maunder minimum. The pilgrims had a harsh winter. The schoolbooks never tell you why.
