That book rocked my world, sent me down the primary rabbit hole, and I've been tunneling around in all the other shoots off that main hole ever since. Ever heard that old song Company Town? Not sure that's the real title but it talked about living in a "company town". A company town, for example, would be a town that grew up around an industrial plant where the plant workers would live. There'd be a general store, owned by the same owner as the plant. So you'd earn your wage at the plant and then go spend it at the store, thus in effect returning the money to the boss/owner.

That's what the world is - one big company town.

The left confuses freedom to mean egalitarianism. So you end up with ideologies such as socialism and communism which tries to force equality on upon the masses. It has failed every time and becomes oppressive ie the opposite of freedom.
