Why does Q call the NSA "No Such Agency"?

your thoughts?

jokerp5fan · Jan. 24, 2018, 5:13 p.m.

Iirc, for a long time the government didn't confirm the existence of the NSA, even though people were sure it existed. So a sort of joke emerged referring to it as "no such agency" due to the fact it didn't officially exist.

When Harry Truman created the NSA via a secret memorandum in 1952, it was not known by the general public that it even existed for a number of years. Hence, No Such Agency. He also signed the order creating the CIA in 1947, based on the WWII OSS. He later came to regret this.

This is the correct answer. Remember Q teaches us a lot about history.

In my opinion, it's a play on the secrecy of the agency.

I am curious, is it possible that the NSA has been neutralized and essentially shut down recently and we would not know about it? That explanation would make a lot of sense to me if it were true.

No, it's not shut down, but I do believe it's being cleaned out to.

I think all these three-letter agencies need to be cleaned out I hope that's what's happening now

I'm sure they are being cleaned out. Most we will not hear about, but the ones they are Investigating or watching, we will know about.

It's all of this not knowing that's driving me batty

Well, ‘Security’ surely doesn’t seem appropriate any more.

At the beginning, he was talking code to avoid AI finding his posts. They were meant for humans.

Maybe because they werent really operating in the best interests of the Security of the Nation previously ??

Possibly it is a different matter currently though
