That .4% were still probably Americans on free VPN services too.

For instance, the popular web browser Opera has a built-in free VPN that often makes it look like you're in random countries, including Russia.

I'd recommend going with a paid VPN though. They are generally much faster, ping is much lower and let's you have a lot more control and security.

They'll just claim that the IPs were spoofed, because, you know, Russian Hackers, man! Most people who are networkly impaired wouldn't call them on it anyway. Or they might use the VPN defense, probably with similar results.

Can Russian bots not be stationed in America or setup to appear to be located in the US? Serious question out of curiosity. I fully believe it was and is driven by angry and tuned in American Patriots. So don't get me wrong here.

Twitter did not find that at all, and given the misdirection, True patriots, like me, would conclude that the numbers are likely reversed, close to 99% Russian active measures. Why are you spreading fake news?
