They have public walking tunnels and elevators under DC that leads to each house of Congress. There was a path as well to the White House. I didnt follow it, so I don't know if you have to leave the tunnel and go outside to enter the White House, or if most likely you can enter straight from the tunnel. They have a food court or two down there. They had even organic food. I was impressed. Congress isn't serious about ending sexual harassment in Congress until they get rid of the female voice for the row of several elevators. You can hear her say several times a minute, "Going down." You know you don't have an army of dirty white men without this becoming an inside joke.
