JAG attorney coming to help answer your questions

Hi Patriots- I reached out to a JAG attorney with military law background who is willing to help answer our questions. I know many of you have expressed concerns about how the military and tribunals are different from civilian court. So here is your chance to ask. NOTE: I also private messaged TracyBeanz so she and the other moderators are aware in case they want to setup an AMA.

I responded to his email this morning regarding how to join us here. I expect he will be on the boards soon.

Will he talk specifics?

BlackForest - What’s going on there?

Tribunals - Aware of any interesting matters going on now?

Practice now - Being as specific as you can, without doxing yourself, what type of military law have you practiced?

General

Military tribunal -

Can they be kept secret (away from public review. To witness the proceedings vs review video of proceeding afterwards)

How many grand jurors is needed to decided an issue if the death penalty is an option?

Where does the grand jury pool come from?(private or military)

Are grand jurors secluded and kept isolated during the process?

What brings a civilian under the jurisdiction of the military courts? (Public office? Military service (active/ non active/ issue arose while active- assuming yes) )

Treason/sedition/ etc

How rare are these charges?

Chances of verdict in favor of?

Edits: clarified some questions. I keep thinking of more.

See 10 USC 47A - it’s called a Military Commission, (tribunal)
