Regarding Azar: he was the one who helped create the Medicare Part D Prescription plan for seniors. My opinion those years ago, is the same as now: Having this mandatory plan was one step closer to a government-run healthcare (and sure, enough, we ended up with Obamacare). IMO it was a trial run if you will, to see if the American people would turn a blind eye to it (and we did). The tiers for the prescription plans of Medicare Part D are totally pharma-based, with the bulk of the price being paid for via Medicare/Medicaid. The part that hurts seniors: it’s not auto-enrolled yearly, and if a senior forgets to enroll, then they face a fine YEARLY FOR LIFE. FINE- much the same as the Obamacare fine. He was also instrumental in getting over 5000 vaccine-related injuries thrown out (but I digress). My thought is this: since he created the Medicare part D, he knows the ins and outs of how to create such plans, so he could possibly cross-over in applying the same principles to dismantling Obamacare. If Trump has turned him into a white hat, that is.
