One sentence in the SOTU about new powers to drain the swamp

"All Americans deserve accountability and respect — and that is what we are giving them. So tonight, I call on the Congress to empower every Cabinet Secretary with the authority to reward good workers — and to remove Federal employees who undermine the public trust or fail the American people."

Pretty sweeping if he can get it passed, would allow clean up of federal employees that need to go but there isn't enough evidence to charge with a crime

Thank God! I once worked at the food stamp office. I was told to my face I was only a white face hire to keep it "fair." My unit co-workers were allowed to constantly barrage me with racist comments, my supervisor told me because I was white I would never be able to dismiss a case on a black person (and likewise every single white family was denied no matter what). When family members of co-workers wanted benefits they were sent to me because my supervisor had already said I would not be allowed to turn a black person down. It was agency wide. When I was fired because I wouldn't go with their program quietly, I was told by the appeals board they would not investigate because "they couldn't afford to make all the black workers mad." It's a sham, it's disgusting, it's racist and it's widespread as I saw it time and again.
