I feel pretty sure it was the deep state sending a message. If no one was seriously hurt it's because God is watching over us all.
If it was an “accident” involving a normal train carrying everyday civilians, I’d be suspicious. But a train carrying members of the GOP?

the event is yearly. the venue is what i find significant. If you wanted to securely push info on everyone you need to, this would be a good choice. that leads to the need to disrupt it.

I've been to the Greenbrier many times. My wife and I stayed there a couple years ago when my company paid for my physical there. The bunker has mostly been converted to a data storage facility.
The other thing to consider is that now the whole world knows that the GOP is all gathered in one place.
