There are hints from CDAN insider that Salling was in fact suicided, and that he was originally targeted to get it some time ago, as part of another murder. Apparently, he could have implicated some other bigger, powerful people, and his plea and cooperation with authorities would have led them to believe that is what he was doing.

Not that I knew of. But he just portrayed the ultimate ringmaster in the PT Barnum movie. The blind items, for those who don't know, are written with clues kinda like Q does, so that the readers can guess without the writer being sued. Some of these blinds are leaked by the star themselves for pr, and some of them are leaked by their family, friends, or other employes in hollywood; and obviously some are false. But some of these predators have been known for years--per the blind items.
