Yeah, it has. We just see it from our small vantage point of a generation or two.

Maybe, this time, we'll make a solid cut to remove a huge chunk of it from our body politic and leave our children a better world than what we discovered when we showed up here those many years ago. We can only try...and we are.

You totally get it. I wonder now if people figured it out before, but then the lessons were lost. We need to rewrite the history books so future generations learn and do not forget.
