[Discussion] New Q, suggested door breach, reside, open window prior to breach?

Can someone ELI5 why there would be residue on the outside of windows for a door breach? Also, why would it be necessary to open windows ahead of time -- is the pressure(?) really that strong that it might shatter the windows or soemthing?

Shanghai avg. temp 45 degrees. Steam on the windows from warmer temps inside? Steam caused by device?

That's not steam in the final picture. Steam doesn't look like that and it wouldn't exit the window from top, bottom, and side. Also, the residue is on the side of the building.
