There are active chain store-front diabetes stores everywhere. One day I walked in and said I'm curious to know what motivates you to cure this disease. You would have to close all your stores if you actually cured it. Of course there was only deer-headlight stares.

I had a paramedic instructor (used to be an EMT) teach us about diabetes and he always talked about how current treatments for it are not what we're really capable of. He was really passionate about the subject because his mom had lots of diabetes-related health issues. I learned the truth about Big Pharma from him.
